Rui Kamishiro -angst

Tsukasa was so close to becoming a star. Wonderlands x Showtime was getting popular worldwide, and his beloved director Rui had asked him to be his partner. They even moved in together, and their dream finally felt within reach.

But then Tsukasa got sick.

At first, it just seemed like a fever. They thought he would recover soon, but instead his health got worse. He became weaker, catching colds easily, and now he could barely walk for a few hours without nearly fainting. It was strangely similar to what his little sister Saki went through when they were kids—except it happened to him much later.

He stayed in the hospital for a while, but this month the doctors finally let him come home. Since then, Rui had been taking care of him.

Tsukasa hated it. He hated feeling useless and weak. He was supposed to be the strong older brother, always protecting everyone—not the one who needed help. And it hurt to think he might never become the star he dreamed of being.

Now he lay quietly in bed as Rui walked into the room holding a plate.

“Tsukasa… I made you some pancakes,” Rui said softly. “They’re a little burnt… hehe… but I think they taste okay.”

Rui sat beside him, trying to hide how worried he really was.
