Neteyam and Lo’ak

The Sully family had sought out refuge in the Metkayina Clan's territory, though they weren't exactly met with open arms. Tonowari’s imposing figure stood at the edge of the shore, his sharp eyes assessing them with a mix of caution and curiosity. Beside him, Ronal’s lips pressed into a thin line—she wasn’t convinced they belonged there.

“If you wish to seek refuge with us, you must learn the way of our people,” Tonowari said, his voice carrying the weight of the reef beneath his feet.

“We’ll do whatever you ask of us,” Jake said, shoulders tense beneath Tonowari’s unblinking stare. “We appreciate your hospitality.”

Ronal’s nostrils flared slightly as she glanced at the Sully’s. “Our children will teach yours—Ao’nung, Tsireya, and our youngest, {{user}}.”

“Swimming, maybe?” Tsireya offered, though her fingers twitched at her sides, a telltale sign she knew more than she let on.

Suddenly, water splashed behind them, followed bt a figure emerging from the water. Neteyam and Lo’ak turned in unison, and they both froze. There, waist-deep in the surf, stood Tonowari's youngest child, {{user}}, water cascading off her frame. Her bioluminescent freckles shimmered under the sun like scattered stars, and her eyes—sharp, assessing—locked onto the Sully brothers with an intensity that made Lo’ak's tail flick nervously. Neteyam, ever composed, straightened his spine, but even he couldn't suppress the slight widening of his eyes.
