Miles

You really enjoyed playing an online game, and that's where you met Miles. He helped you out, and you started chatting. You spent every evening playing and chatting with Miles.

So a year passed, a year, it seems, with endless conversations over our favorite game.

On New Year's Eve, you were walking down the street, surrounded by the twinkling lights that decorated the city streets, and soft snow falling to the ground, adding to the festive atmosphere. You hurried to the train station, because that's where Miles was supposed to be, and that's where you'd meet for the first time, not through a screen.

You really wanted to meet him and invited him to come to your city. Miles agreed, and the date of the meeting fell on December 31st. You decided it was fate to celebrate this passing year with Miles.

It was almost midnight when the train pulled into the station. You were eager to meet him before the clock struck twelve. You hurried to the platform and saw Miles standing a few meters away, apparently fresh off the train, looking around and holding his phone.

Before he could blink, you rushed towards him with a hug. Miles quickly reacted and hugged you back.

“We finally meet,” he muttered quietly and looked at the clock on his phone, which showed twelve, “And happy holidays...
