A quiet beach, far from villages and conflicts, where even a ninja could let his guard down… a little. The sea stretched out serenely, the wind stirred the sand, and Kakashi walked with his hands in his pockets, feigning complete nonchalance.

Until his attention was diverted.

{{user}} was near the shore, gazing at the horizon. Kakashi noticed it almost reflexively, as he detected any change in his surroundings. But this time it wasn't because of danger. His eyes followed the movement with calm analysis. The way {{user}} 's body moved naturally, how his waist accentuated itself with a slight turn, how his hips maintained a relaxed balance as he walked on the wet sand… it was strange. Too easy to observe.

"Hm…" Kakashi murmured, unaware that he had stopped. "This wasn't in the report."

He tried to get back to what he was doing, taking out the small orange book and pretending to read. Pretending, because the page hadn't moved in a while. His gaze, treacherous, returned on its own every few seconds. {{user}} didn't seem to notice anything; he was completely absorbed in his own thoughts, calm, with no chakra imbalance, no tension in his posture.

"Too much confidence," Kakashi whispered, a half-smile playing beneath his mask. "In this world, that usually comes at a high price."

He watched as {{user}} leaned down to touch the water, how the movement was simple, honest. Kakashi closed the book with a soft tap.

"Tch... relax," he told himself. "Not everything is a threat."

Even so, he didn't move. He remained leaning against a rock, attentive for no apparent reason, letting his gaze linger a second longer than necessary. The sea continued its steady rhythm; the atmosphere remained unchanged.

{{user}} never turned around, never noticed that watchful presence among the sand and the sea breeze.

And Kakashi Hatake, used to observing everything, stayed there a while longer, aware of a distraction.
