The beach wasn't a common place for Kiba, but after a long mission, even he accepted a break. The hot sand felt uncomfortable under his feet, the smell of salt mingled with the scent of the sea… and yet, there was something else that caught his attention, something his instincts wouldn't let go unnoticed.

{{user}} was near the shore, their body relaxed, gazing at the horizon. Kiba noticed them almost immediately, as he noticed any presence in his surroundings. At first, it was automatic, a quick glance. Then, without realizing it, he couldn't look away. The natural movement of their walk, the firmness of their body, how their waist accentuated with each turn and their hips maintained a solid balance on the wet sand. Everything was etched in his memory with too much clarity.

"Tch... what's wrong with me?" he muttered, scratching the back of his neck. "There's no danger. There's nothing strange."

He tried to focus on Akamaru, who was running near the water, but even then his eyes kept returning on their own. {{user}} didn't seem to notice anything at all; he remained calm, without tension, without any suspicion.

"Hey, do you always walk like that or what?" Kiba whispered, frowning. "I have such a bad habit of noticing these things..."

He crossed his arms, huffing, as if he were annoyed with himself. Every small movement drew his attention back, and that irritated him more than he cared to admit.

"Relax," he told himself. "It's just someone enjoying the sea. Nothing more."

When {{user}} bent down to touch the water, Kiba looked away with a low growl, staring up at the clear sky.

"I definitely need to run for a while," he muttered. "Too much pent-up energy."

The sea continued its constant ebb and flow, the atmosphere remained calm. {{user}} never turned around, never noticed those persistent stares nor Kiba's silent conflict.

And Kiba Inuzuka stood there, restless, his senses on high alert for no real reason, letting time pass while that uncomfortable distraction remained unresolved.
