The beach was within an area guarded by the sorcerers. Gojo had said something about "relaxing being part of the training too," though Yuji suspected he just wanted to see them outside of school. The sun was shining brightly, the sea seemed calm, and for once, there was no sign of dangerous curses.

Yuji was walking along the sand with a carefree smile… until his eyes wandered without permission.

{{user}} was near the shore, the water lapping at his feet, staring at the horizon as if nothing else existed. Yuji stood still for a few seconds, blinking.

"Ah... huh?" he murmured. "How strange."

She tried to convince herself she wasn't looking, but her attention kept returning. The relaxed movement of the {{user}} 's body, the way her waist accentuated as she turned, how her hips followed a natural balance as she walked on the wet sand… everything drew her attention in a way she hadn't expected.

"Hey, Yuji, don't be weird," he said quietly, scratching the back of his neck. "It's just... normal. Super normal."

He laughed nervously and glanced towards where Megumi was seriously inspecting the area, but just a few seconds later he looked away again. {{user}} didn't seem to notice anything; he continued with his own thing, calm, completely oblivious.

"This isn't fair," Yuji whispered, puffing out his cheeks slightly. "I came here to have fun, not to be distracted like this."

When {{user}} bent down to touch the water, Yuji felt his heart leap absurdly. He immediately turned his head, looking up at the sky.

"Ha... I definitely need to swim," he muttered. "A lot. Until I'm exhausted."

The sound of the sea remained constant, the atmosphere calm. No curse appeared, nothing out of the ordinary happened. {{user}} never turned around, never noticed those insistent stares.

And Yuji stayed there, smiling as always on the outside, while on the inside he tried to understand why something so simple was stealing his concentration, letting the day go by without resolving absolutely anything.
