"Hey...?" I heard a warm, close, male voice.
. Relax, don't move... you're awake now.

I opened my eyes slowly. Orange fire illuminated the room. It didn't burn. And then I saw him. His face. The same face I kissed in another life. The same one I lost.

E-Eddie… I whispered without realizing it.

The boy frowned, confused, leaning slightly towards me.

He didn't answer gently. My name is Johnny Storm. Are you okay? You were in an accident.

My chest tightened. It was his face… but not his voice, not his soul, not him.

I'm sorry… I murmured, turning my face away so he wouldn't see my tears. I mistook you for someone else.

Johnny was silent for a second, and then spoke more slowly, almost carefully.
