The city had long been living in fear. Every few months, the bodies of influential and respected people were found, and next to each one lay a neatly folded paper butterfly. No one knew who he was, but everyone knew his name: the Butterfly Killer. He was considered a cruel maniac, a demon who appeared out of nowhere and vanished without leaving a trace. In reality, he targeted only those who hid ruined destinies and broken lives behind beautiful titles.

You're an exception," and leaves another butterfly on the windowsill before disappearing as silently as he arrived.
