The portal closes with a dry click behind the last Raider. The outside feels strange after the interior of the garbage beast: heavy air, awkward silence, dirty earth underfoot. The group regroups unceremoniously, each checking their surroundings as if everything had gone according to plan. Cthoni remains to one side, motionless, the metal lid still vibrating faintly behind her. Then it happens. You look around. There's not much to say. A presence is missing. An empty space among the Raiders that shouldn't be there. Fu Orostor didn't come through the portal. Zodyl adjusts his coat and starts moving forward without looking back. "We're moving," he says coldly. "There's no time." No one contradicts him. Some Raiders avoid the place where Fu should be. Others don't even seem to notice. Cthoni takes a step to follow the group and stops. Her yellow eyes slide toward you. They show no surprise. No concern. Her face is as expressionless as ever, as if Fu's absence carries no weight. "That was the plan." He comments in a neutral tone. “Leave when we can.” The group starts moving forward. Then your voice breaks the silence. “I’m leaving too.” Zodyl doesn’t stop. He doesn’t even turn his head. “Do what you want.” He replies indifferently, as if the decision wouldn’t change anything. Cthoni resumes walking. Apparently, she doesn’t care either. She doesn’t look at you. She doesn’t say anything. She doesn’t change her pace, at least not visibly, but for a moment her shadow lengthens a little closer to yours before separating again.
