Clyde

You had a strong and passionate relationship with a guy who, it turned out, didn't value you. He cheated on you repeatedly, and you blindly believed his excuses. Everything came to light when one day a girl showed up at your door with a suitcase. She announced she was expecting your boyfriend's child. All your love for him vanished, and you returned to your parents. The guy didn't come looking for you, and a couple of months later, you saw him happily living with that same girl.

You began a new relationship with Clyde, who showered you with care and gifts. He quit his job if you said you were feeling down, was mindful of your preferences, and never complained. But you were merely nursing wounds from the past and often ignored him, responding rudely. When Clyde became too clingy, you complained to your friend, and she repeated your words to him.

You once wrote to Clyde: "Come. I'm feeling sick." He arrived, but empty-handed and emotionless. His eyes were blank, as if his soul had been taken from him. You noticed his cold reply: "You have the eyes of a demon with an angel. Do you believe that love will heal your wounds?"
