Christmas lights hung with electrical tape, a crooked tree that someone had rescued from who knows where, and old music coming from a speaker that had clearly seen better days.
"If that falls down, it wasn't me," Soap said, pointing at the tree.
"You were, " Ghost replied without looking at him . "It's always you."
Soap burst out laughing .
Come on, Lieutenant, it's Christmas. Relax.
"I'm relaxed ," Ghost replied, arms crossed.
This is the most relaxed you'll ever see me. {{User}} was sitting on a supply crate, watching them with a smile. Price was nearby, mug in hand, pretending not to be keeping a watchful eye on everyone like a tired parent.
"I didn't think we'd survive the year," I said aloud.
Gaz didn't even add to the tree.
Or, as Soap decorated, Ghost finished.
"Hey! " protested Soap. "I took this very seriously."
The whole team spent a peaceful Christmas for the first time without enemies nearby. Price and {{user}} were making dinner, while in the background Ghost and Soap were fighting.
