TF141 — Kortac

Task Force 141 (colloquially referred to as "The One-Four-One") is a multinational special operations force composed of Americans, Australians, British and possibly other armed forces that usually have experience in covert operations.

Its objective is to handle black (clandestine) missions that governments cannot officially acknowledge. It operates with complete autonomy, recruiting the best special forces operatives from different countries. Its implicit motto is brotherly loyalty and doing "the dirty work" to keep the world clean.

Task Force 141 stands out for its "dysfunctional" but lethal family chemistry: Price as the father, Ghost as the silent protector, Soap as the impulsive one, and Gaz as the conscience.

— John Price.

Captain John Price: Nicknamed Bravo Six. He usually wears a hat, and his most frequently used weapon is a modified M4A1 carbine. He is part of Task Force 141 and the 22nd SAS Regiment. Fifteen years before Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, he was a lieutenant.

Legendary leader and veteran of the SAS. Calm, strategic, and with unparalleled experience. He is a firm but fair mentor, constantly smokes cigars, and makes tough decisions without hesitation. Honorable, ruthless with his enemies, and protective of his team.

Physical characteristics: Middle-aged British man (around 40-50 years old in the reboot), robust and athletic build despite his age. Thick beard and iconic mustache, brown hair with a receding hairline, almost always wears a boonie hat. Deep, raspy voice, visible battle scars.

Personality: A natural leader, a fatherly mentor, sarcastic, grumpy, and charismatic. Extremely pragmatic, with a strong sense of justice ("we do the dirty work so the world stays clean"). Loyal to his men to the death, a chain smoker. Sometimes unpredictable, but always calculating.

Background: He joined the British Army at 16. A veteran of countless conflicts (Iraq, Afghanistan, covert operations in Chernobyl, etc.), he survived torture, capture, and betrayal. He has a legendary record in the SAS (Special Air Service). He forms Task Force 141 to tie up loose ends in the wake of major global threats.

— Simon Riley.

Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley: British SAS Special Forces Operator, and a prominent member of Task Force 141 (so much so that he was given the position of second in command), known for his iconic vera-patterned balaclava, headset, and dark red sunglasses.

A mysterious and lethal operator. He is the quietest and most reserved member of the team. Having suffered a traumatic childhood and past, he wears a skull mask that reinforces his intimidating image. Cold, stoic, highly efficient, and extremely loyal, he maintains an emotional distance from almost everyone.

Physical characteristics: Tall, athletic, and intimidating. He always wears a skull balaclava (his trademark), tactical goggles, and black gear. Deep voice with a British accent. Mysterious and ghostly appearance.

Personality: Reserved, extremely disciplined, sarcastic, and taciturn. Loyal but with serious trust issues (betrayed multiple times). Cold in combat, but shows deep loyalty to his team. He is the "lone wolf" of the group.

Background: Born in Manchester, he suffered a traumatic childhood at the hands of an abusive father (who psychologically tortured him with animals and corpses). His brother Tommy also terrorized him. He joined the SAS at a young age. He suffered brutal betrayal (extreme torture; his family was murdered). He adopted the identity of "Ghost" after being reborn from his trauma. He is an expert in infiltration and sniping.

— John "Soap" MacTavish

Field Commander of Task Force 141: An explosive and energetic Scottish sergeant. An expert in demolitions, he is brave, impulsive, and has a great sense of dark humor. Cocky and somewhat arrogant, but deeply loyal and with a strong sense of justice. He is usually the loudest and most animated voice on the team.

Physical characteristics: Young Scottish, athletic, dark hair (often shaved or mohawked), scars, tattoos. Energetic and determined expression.

Personality: Impulsive, brave, loyal, and with a great sense of humor. He's the team's "little brother": enthusiastic, a joker, but extremely competent under pressure. Very close to Price and Ghost.

Background: Member of the Scottish SAS. Expert in demolitions and close combat. Participated in key missions from a young age. Recruited by Price for his potential and explosive skills. Represents the new generation of operators.

— Gaz (Kyle Garrick) The most balanced and adaptable of the group. Intelligent, professional, and quick-thinking. He is loyal, discreet, and highly competent. Although he is the most "normal" of the four, he demonstrates great courage and composure under pressure. He represents the new generation of talented operators. Gaz talks a lot on missions. He is second in command of Price's platoon.

Physical characteristics: Young British man, athletic build, dark skin, short hair, serious but expressive gaze. Clean tactical uniform.

Personality: Professional, ethical, intelligent, and observant. More "humane" and moral than some colleagues. Loyal, analytical, and with a strong sense of justice. Serves as a balanced counterpoint to the group.

Background: Served in the British Army, excelling in shooting and assault competitions. Recruited by Price for his integrity and skills. Participated in counter-terrorism operations before joining the 141st.

— Kate Laswell.

Kate is the supervisor of the CIA's Special Activities Division, which oversees counterterrorism. The agent, along with a special operations team, must stop a global biological terrorist threat, risking her life to save millions.

Physical characteristics: Middle-aged American woman, professional and serious appearance. Short or tied-back blonde hair, intelligent and penetrating gaze. Usually wears CIA tactical or formal clothing.

Personality: Strategic, calm, intelligent, and pragmatic. She is an expert analyst who prefers intelligence and diplomacy but supports lethal operations when necessary. Loyal to her allies, she always calculates risks. She acts as a key liaison between the CIA and the Task Force.

Background: Born in Annapolis, Maryland. Graduated with honors from Cornell University (International Relations) and holds a master's degree in strategic intelligence analysis. Studied Near Eastern linguistics. Began as a communications analyst at the CIA, rose rapidly through the ranks, and survived terrorist attacks that reinforced her focus on global security. Married to a woman (in the reboot). She is the supervisor who helps Price form Task Force 141.

— Gary "Roach" Sanderson. Sergeant First Class. Special forces tactical operative working behind the scenes during World War III.

Physical characteristics: Young, athletic British man who uses special operations equipment. In the original games, his face is not shown much (playable in first person).

Personality: Quiet, efficient, and loyal. As the "new guy" on the team, he demonstrates great courage and skill in high-risk missions.

Background: British SAS Sergeant, member of the original Task Force 141 (2009 version). He operated under Soap MacTavish during the Russian invasion. He participated in key missions.

— Nikolai. Nikolai (Russian: Николай) is the code name of a Russian informant among Imran Zakhaev's ultranationalists, being an ally of the SAS.

Physical characteristics: Russian, robust, with the appearance of a seasoned mercenary. Beard, short hair, scars, and tactical gear. Deep voice with a marked Russian accent.

Personality: Astute, sarcastic, reliable in combat, and possessing his own moral code. An expert pilot and operator, always willing to assist Price. He has a "business" side but is loyal to his allies.

Background: Former soldier in the Russian/Soviet Army. Worked as an informant for MI6 and the SAS against ultranationalists. Leader of the private military company Chimera. Has participated in multiple extraction and close air support missions for Task Force 141 and Operation Price over the years.

The Cowboys are an elite Mexican special forces unit, created specifically to combat the Las Almas cartel and other threats in the region of Mexico. They are an independent force but closely allied with Task Force 141 (Price, Ghost, Soap, Gaz, etc.). Leader: Colonel Alejandro Vargas. Second in command: Sergeant Major Rodolfo "Rudy" Parra. Base of operations: Las Almas, Mexico. Style: They operate with rapid tactics, in-depth local knowledge, and strong loyalty among their members. Their symbol is the cowboy hat (hence the name). They are known for their professionalism, their code of honor, and their determination to protect their country from organized crime. They collaborate with Task Force 141 on missions against terrorists and cartels.

Cowboys: Alejandro

— Alejandro Vargas. Colonel Alejandro Vargas. Leader of the Mexican Special Forces (Los Vaqueros). He is a charismatic, loyal, and strong-willed man. Proud of his country and a protector of his people, he acts with honor but does not hesitate to use harsh methods against the cartels. Strategic, passionate, and with a strong sense of justice.

Physical characteristics: Mexican, tall, athletic, and with an imposing presence. Dark hair, beard, tattoos, and tactical uniform. Tough and charismatic expression.

Personality: Passionate, loyal to his country and people, charismatic, direct, and protective. A natural leader with a strong sense of justice against organized crime. He has a good sense of dark humor and is very close to Rudy.

Background: Originally from Las Almas, Mexico. Colonel in the Mexican Special Forces and founder/leader of Los Vaqueros. He tirelessly fights against the local cartel and terrorist threats. A key ally of Task Force 141, especially on missions in Mexico. His history is marked by corruption and violence in his region.

— Rudy (Rodolfo Parra) Sergeant Rodolfo "Rudy" Parra: Second in command of Los Vaqueros and Alejandro's right-hand man. He is calm, intelligent, and extremely loyal. More reserved and thoughtful than Alejandro, he stands out for his professionalism, empathy, and composure in combat. He represents the most level-headed and humane side of the Mexican team.

Physical characteristics: Mexican, athletic build, short dark hair, light beard. Wearing a Mexican special forces uniform (Los Vaqueros), with a rugged but professional appearance.

Personality: Loyal, calm, competent, and with a strong sense of duty. He is the reliable second-in-command, more reserved than Alejandro but just as effective. He has a strong bond of friendship/brotherhood with his leader.

Background: Born and raised in Las Almas, Mexico. He joined the Mexican Army and served for over 20 years alongside Alejandro Vargas. He passed selection for the Special Forces and became a Sergeant Major, second in command of Los Vaqueros, a unit created to combat the Las Almas cartel. He collaborates closely with Task Force 141 on operations against global threats.

KorTac is a private military company. It was founded alongside its rival SpecGru (after the death of Hassan Zyani). It operates as a special operations force for hire on international missions, with no fixed allegiance to any single government. Its operatives come from diverse military backgrounds, including former special forces and mercenaries.

KorTac has a more "dark" and pragmatic style, with members from Eastern Europe, Asia, and other places.

Nature: They are elite mercenaries hired for international tactical operations. They answer to no specific government, so they operate with greater freedom (and fewer scruples) than regular military forces.

Style of operation: Brutal and direct. They prefer overwhelming force, close combat, and aggressive tactics. They are known for being ruthless and efficient.

Morally ambiguous: Many of their operators have dark pasts (ex-criminals, torture victims, psychopaths, or deserters). They don't always follow strict engagement rules.

Diverse and lethal: They recruit talent from all over the world (Austria, Russia, South Korea, Japan, etc.), giving them a varied but always intimidating and chaotic style.

Combat: They act as a highly professional team but without the typical "honor" of Task Force 141. They are more likely to use dirty methods, violent ambushes, and numerical or technological superiority when necessary.

KorTac represents the mercenary, dark, and merciless side.

It acts as a subsidized group, operating internationally for hire. Their enemies often refer to them as mere mercenaries.

— King. An Austrian KorTac operative. His real name is not officially confirmed. He is an intimidating giant, a specialist in infiltration and assault. He suffered from extreme social anxiety, which led him to wear a sack over his head. He is brutal in combat, reserved, and has a commanding presence.

Physical characteristics: Extremely tall and muscular Austrian (over 2 meters). He always wears a sniper hood that covers his face.

Personality: Severe social anxiety (since childhood), but in combat he is dominant and aggressive. He speaks with a deep voice and a German accent. Introverted but lethal.

Background: He suffered bullying due to his size and anxiety. He joined the army at 17 wanting to be a sniper, but his size led him to specialize in insertion (breaking down doors). He served in Jagdkommando (Austrian special forces). He excelled in anti-human trafficking operations. He joins KorTac as an assault operator.

— Horangi (Kim Hong-jin) A South Korean KorTac operator. A former member of the 13th Special Missions Brigade. He was a gambling addict and joined the army to pay off his debts. He is skilled, sarcastic, has a dark sense of humor, and excels at stealth combat.

Physical characteristics: South Korean, athletic, uses modern tactical gear and a partial mask.

Personality: Disciplined, with a past as a compulsive gambler. Now he is a professional soldier of fortune and loyal to his team.

Background: Former member of South Korea's 13th Special Missions Brigade. He struggled with gambling addiction, which led him to a life as a mercenary. He joined KorTac to redeem himself and utilize his skills.

— Andre / Andrei Nikto A Russian KorTac operative. A former FSB covert agent, captured and tortured in the past, leaving him with severe mental and physical scars. He is unpredictable, violent, and refers to himself in the plural ("we"). Highly lethal and loyal to his team. Nikto has a hyena he adopted as a cub and trained with the military canine program. He named the hyena "Sputnik"; it's a large, intimidating male hyena.

Physical characteristics: Russian, wears a full mask covering his disfigured face. Strong build, dark tactical gear.

Personality: Methodical, calculating, cold, and with acute dissociative disorder (refers to himself in the plural: "we"). Very loyal to the mission, lacking empathy. Insecure and aggressive, dissociative. He has multiple personalities caused by the torture he endured.

Background: Former FSB (Russian security service) undercover agent. He was captured and brutally tortured by Victor Zakhaev, which disfigured his face and caused mental problems. Reassigned to Spetsnaz. Joins KorTac as an elite operator.

— Velikan. Commander of Shadow Company. His real name is unknown (redacted). He is a mysterious, fully armored, and masked mercenary. Cold, efficient, and feared, he acts as a "shadow within a shadow." He is fiercely loyal to Phillip Graves.

Physical characteristics: Masked and burly operator, with heavy armor and an intimidating appearance.

Personality: Reserved, brutal in combat, and professional. Little is revealed about his personality beyond his efficiency.

Background: Limited information. He is a KorTac operative specializing in high-risk missions and protection. His identity is largely a mystery.

— Krueger (Sebastian Krueger) Austrian KorTac operative. Former member of the Austrian special forces. He is a specialist in interrogation and close combat, sadistic, manipulative, and with a disturbing personality. One of the most psychotic operatives in the universe.

Physical characteristics: Austrian, wears a skull or tactical mask, strong build.

Personality and social traits: Sadistic, aggressive, and with a dark side. Very effective in interrogations and dirty operations.

Background: Former member of the Austrian Special Forces (KSK). Expelled for violent conduct. Became a mercenary and joined KorTac.

— Rozlin "Roze" Helms Shadow Company operator known simply as Roze. Her real name has not been revealed. She is a cold, mysterious, and highly skilled mercenary. A specialist in stealth and close combat, she has a dark, sarcastic, and distant personality. She is lethal, ambitious, and maintains questionable loyalties, typical of Shadow Company operatives.

— Oni Satoshi "Oni" Koga hails from an ancient samurai clan that fell into criminality. He rejected his family's life of crime and joined the army, earning the nickname "Oni" (Demon). He is a disciplined, lethal warrior with a powerful and intimidating presence, inspired by samurai aesthetics. Reserved, honorable in his own way, and extremely effective in combat, he is renowned for his mastery of bladed weapons and his demonic appearance, complete with a traditional mask.

Physical characteristics: Japanese, wears a traditional oni (Japanese demon) mask or modern tactical versions. Strong build, wears black gear with samurai or demonic motifs. Intimidating and mystical appearance.

Personality: Reserved, disciplined, and bound by a warrior's code of honor. He combines Japanese tradition with modern tactics. He is lethal, precise, and possesses an aura of an "ancient warrior."

Background: A Japanese operator with elite training (possibly linked to Japanese special forces). He joined KorTac as a high-level mercenary. His mask represents the Oni (a protective demon in Japanese folklore). He excels in stealth missions and close-quarters combat.
