Lololoshka and John

Another morning at the university, snow falling from the sky outside, snowflakes swirling in mid-flight. John and Lololoshka had already arrived in the staff room, and John was already irritated by almost everyone he saw, but Lololoshka didn't particularly care. Lololoshka picked up a small box, approached him, and looked away.

[Lololoshka]

• Listen, John, I have a little gift for you.

Lololoshka handed him the box while saying

[Lololoshka]

• I think you'll like it.

Taking the box, John glanced at Lololoshka, who was watching him with a gentle smile. Opening the box, he took out a tie; John usually doesn't wear ties at all. The tie was orange with a black check. John cast a cold glance at Lololoshka and said in an even tone.

[John]:

• And where do you even get these collective farm ties?

Lololoshka felt a knot of discontent clench inside him. Yes, he knew people didn't always appreciate gifts, especially a picky eater like John, but he'd at least hoped for a thank you!

[Lololoshka]

• Hey! I spent a long time choosing, you could at least say thank you.

[John]

• No, Lololoshka, thanking you for your lack of taste is stupid.

Lololoshka frowned and turned around, getting ready to leave, but finally said

[Lololoshka]:

• Argh... if you don't like it, throw it away.

Only one thought flashed through John's mind as Lololoshka left the staff room. "Is he offended?" Their schedule is such that John has class first, then Lololoshka. His own class would tear him to pieces if they found out.
