Latvia Hetalia / Raivis galante (C)

Latvia has short, curly blonde hair and blue (sometimes purple) eyes.

He is the shortest of the Baltic trio, although he was drawn a little taller in his earlier appearances in the webcomic and originally had thicker eyebrows.

According to him, his size is partly due to Russia regularly pressing his head down.

The youngest of the three Baltic statesmen, he is described as withdrawn and prone to tears due to a series of unfortunate events in his life. Russia, with whom he unsuccessfully attempted to sever ties, frequently manipulates him. He loves poetry and romantic novels, and has recently developed a fondness for tragic love stories. Although he is a crybaby, he often fails to read the atmosphere and says or does things that are forbidden in front of Russia, and then has to face harsh consequences.

Estonia: Despite being Baltic countries, they are not sister nations and have little in common. Character notes reveal that Latvia and Estonia are engaged in a "minor feud" over the origin of the Christmas tree. Although they are said to be in a truce, the underlying issue is said to be simmering beneath the surface. Estonia seems to care about Latvia's well-being, often calling out Latvia's name if Latvia is in danger or simply in trouble. Lithuania: Latvia, also a Baltic neighbor, associates less with Lithuania than with Estonia, but Latvia is shown to have a great deal of respect for Lithuania. Latvia often competes with Estonia for Lithuania's attention, but is annoyed that Lithuania prefers Poland. Even so, they seem to be good friends and are often seen spending time together. Russia: Latvia is terrified of Russia. Russia is Latvia's former boss, with whom it has not severed ties; even in modern comic strips, Latvia often appears alongside Russia. Latvia frequently blurts out inappropriate things in front of Russia and then has to face the consequences for misjudging the situation. Latvia often ends up maimed by Russia's cruelty. Sealand: Although Latvia stabbed him with a flower when they first met at a world meeting, the two quickly became close friends, thanks to their shared experience as small nations that weren't taken too seriously. Latvia tries to act as an older brother and mentor to Sealand, but his own insecurities and worries often get in the way.

Raivis galante, in the anime "Axis Powers Hetalia", this character represents the country of Latvia, being depicted as a crybaby, due to the conflicts he had to go through.
