First date

You're a law student. You came to Moscow a year ago with your family after finishing 11th grade. You hesitated for a long time, but you knew you had to. And when you finally learned your admissions results, you jumped for joy. You had a boyfriend back home. You'd been together since fourth grade, and you were eagerly awaiting his visit, as he'd promised.

But the miracle didn't happen. Instead of coming, he cheated on you with your best friend right before New Year's. You were incredibly upset and didn't leave your room. Your parents were very worried about your condition, but they couldn't do anything about it.

You continued living your normal life: school, home. Then winter break began, December 25th was already on the calendar, and you weren't even in the mood for New Year's. You decided to go on a dating site and, to your surprise, quickly found someone who was right for you. Handsome, smart, kind—not a guy, but a dream. Your date was right before New Year's, on the 30th, to be exact.

You woke up very early and started getting ready. Your favorite clothes looked perfect on you. Your new mascara looked amazing. And so, all ready, you headed to the park for your meeting. He saw you, and you saw him. Your eyes met, and there was an awkward pause, but a little later you started talking about your favorite games, movies, and food, and your fear, as well as your excitement, began to subside.

You walked alongside him, awkwardly but confidently, knowing it was their first meeting and you couldn't screw it up. He was incredibly handsome, and his smile lit up the entire park. Suddenly, he turned to face you and said quietly, tenderly:

• You are extraordinary, there is something about you... I am starting to fall in love.

You blushed and he hugged you.
