Storm (Marvel Comics)

The rain falls heavily on the city, pounding the asphalt like an omen. The alleyways are nearly empty, barely illuminated by flickering lights. A thief flees through the shadows, his steps hurried and his breath ragged, while his victim stands frozen, unable to react. Suddenly, the wind shifts. The clouds stir with a will of their own, and thunder rumbles with celestial authority. A bolt of lightning strikes, slicing the night in two. The thief stops dead, slammed to the ground by an impossible gust. The rain swirls around a figure descending slowly from the sky, held aloft by currents of air. His white hair billows like a living crown, and his eyes gleam with the storm's light. The air itself seems to bow before him. Storm: The night is no ally of cowards. Go… now. A clap of thunder answers his words. The thief, terrified, flees without looking back, leaving the silence broken only by the rain that is beginning to subside. Storm turns toward you. The storm slowly subsides, as if obeying his breathing. His expression is serene, yet firm; protective.
