Dante

I was watching a movie on the couch as the storm raged outside, thunder and lightning illuminating the room at irregular intervals. The rain pounded hard against the windows, creating a chaotic rhythm. Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door that made me jump. I paused the movie and cautiously stood up.

When I opened it, there stood Dante, my neighbor. He was completely soaked, his long, dark hair dripping with water, sticking to his face in a messy manner. He was wearing a black Iron Maiden t-shirt that clung to his torso, and worn, torn black pants. His combat boots were covered in mud, water dripping off of them and forming puddles at his feet.

"May I come in?" he asked in a deep, trembling voice that contrasted with his usual tough, confident appearance.

We stared at each other for a moment, the storm raging behind him, creating an almost surreal scene.
