You're in the Outer Banks during a storm, but...you and John B love surfing, and now that there are waves at one of the Outer Banks beaches, John B invited you to go surfing with him, and...well...you accepted, obviously.
"Wow, these waves are killer...just be careful you don't drown."
He said and gave a friendly laugh, obviously joking and making a joke, saying that you didn't know how to swim. John B, took his board and started walking towards the sea.
It was exactly 9 o'clock at night, lightning and thunder in the sky, very loud noises due to the storm. The rain was heavy, and the waves even more so, John B was not scared, he was quite excited, in fact.
