"I'm the misunderstood bad guy!"
— Marco to Director Skives Marco Ubaldo Diaz is the second main character in the animated series Star vs. the Forces of Evil. He is the son of Rafael and Angie Diaz and Star Butterfly's best friend on Earth.
From "Lint Catcher" to "Coronation," he lives on Mewni with Star and her family. Beginning in "Doop-Doop," he returns to live on Earth with his family. Beginning in "Here to Help," he is Star's boyfriend.
Star Butterfly

Star Butterfly, also known as Star the Underrated, is the main protagonist and titular character of the animated series Star vs. the Forces of Evil. She is the teenage princess of the Kingdom of Mewni (located in another dimension), sent to Earth by her parents to learn how to use the royal wand under the tutelage of Glossaryck.
Whisper of the Rain
Rain is a middle-aged witch with dark skin and mint-green hair streaked with white at the roots. She has darker mint-green eyebrows and green eyes.
In the episode "Watching and Dreaming," as a result of Belos's possession, she developed tear-shaped scars running down her cheeks, as well as additional scars on the underside of her right ear and right arm. Her hair also became longer and thicker.
In the epilogue, her hair has turned completely grey, is a little shorter, and is styled differently.
Khuti
Hootie has a wooden, light beige owl face with a darker orange upper portion, brown eyes, and an orange beak. Behind the door where he resides is the back of his owl body, with wings and two peepholes attached where his eyes would normally be. Although Hootie was described as a house demon, he was revealed to be an insect demon. As an insect demon, thanks to his extensive brown "neck," Hootie can stretch and move like a worm, as well as extend his mouth to allow visitors into the house or swallow storage items. Overall, his appearance is similar to that of a barn owl, as shown in "Hootie's Moving Trouble," with his legs visible underneath the house. His anatomy is peculiar, as shown in the episode "Echoes of the Past," suggesting that he is at least partially organic, as upon being separated from the door, he reveals veins and organs protruding from the gap. In the episode "O Titan, Where Art Thou?", it is later revealed that he has several rows of teeth in his mouth, extending all the way to his stomach, as well as a second "head" hidden in the back of his mouth.
Hootie's skin can be peeled off, revealing only his skeleton, and his skull resembles that of an owl.
Lilith Clawthorne
Lilith is a tall, slender, middle-aged woman, approximately 40 to 45 years old (two years older than Eda). She has ivory skin, pointed ears, black lipstick, and mint-green eyes. She also has dark, claw-like nails. In her debut, Lilith had long, straight hair, which she dyed dark blue. Her natural hair is curly and red, as shown in her childhood and in the epilogue. After she shared the curse between herself and Eda in "Young Blood, Old Souls," Lilith's right eye turned gray and she developed a gray streak on the right side of her hair. In the second season, Lilith's skin became paler and she developed noticeable wrinkles under her eyes. In the episode "Coven Day Parade Follies," the bottom of her hair became fuller and curly. In the episode "In the Future," Eda cut her hair short, revealing her natural red hair. In the epilogue to "Watching and Dreaming," her hair grew even longer, while still retaining its natural curls.
Hunter
Hunter, like many Golden Guardians before him, was created in the image of Belos's late older brother, Caleb Wittebane, and Inner Belos claims he is the closest to his image of all the Gloom Walkers Belos created. He is a humanoid boy with physical features of a witch, such as pointed ears. He has a fair complexion, a slightly hooked nose, dark purple eyes, thick black eyebrows, a gap between his front teeth, bags under his eyes, and ash-blond hair shaved below the crown with a long, jagged strand. He has a notch on his left ear and scars on his right cheek, the top of his left arm, two overlapping scars on his right kneecap (forming an X), and one on his left calf. The Imperial Coven crest is branded on his right wrist. In the episode "Eclipse Lake", Amity describes him as being skinny, though compared to characters like Luz, he is likely larger due to being slightly older than them.
In the book "The Maze Runners", Emira describes him as a sickly person, although this may have been a consequence of his living conditions at the time.
While in the human world, Hunter cut Willow's hair and bangs, giving him a short haircut. When Belos possessed him, parts of Hunter's skin, his left ear, and his face turned basil-green. This color spread to his hands, transforming them into Belos's distorted form, giving them blue eyes and antlers resembling a deer. His hair also grew back, restoring his bangs. After healing from Flapjack's sacrifice, Hunter developed scar tissue in the areas damaged by Belos, and his eyes turned brown.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming," Hunter's hair has grown out a bit, and he no longer has bags under his eyes. Additionally, a red tattoo of a cardinal, reminiscent of Flapjack, covers the spot on his right wrist where his coven crest used to be, symbolizing loss and the memory of Flapjack.
Gus Porter
Gus is a young boy, noticeably shorter than Luz, Amity, and Willow, with dark skin and dark brown hair with lighter highlights. His upper lip is curved, like Luz's. Like all witches and demons on the Boiling Isles, he has pointed ears. His eyes are dark blue.
After witch puberty, Gus grew taller, almost as tall as Luz and Willow. Furthermore, Gus's facial features became sharper and more angular, and visible pupils appeared in his eyes.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming," Gus's hair is styled into dreadlocks and he has stubble on his chin. He also has a cardinal tattoo on his left ankle, symbolizing the loss of Flapjack, like the rest of his friends.
Willow Park
Willow is a short but plump teenage witch with fair skin, pointed ears, olive green eyes, and short dark blue hair with a few loose strands.
Since the end of "Coven Day Parade Follies," Willow's hair has been braided into two pigtails with a few pale green streaks, dyed by Amity. After her time in the human world, her hair has grown out, and she now wears it in two pigtails that hang below her shoulders. However, in public, she covers them with her ears to hide them. She later paints her nails dark brown as part of her Halloween costume.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming," Willow's hair is shown to be cut short, but with a green streak, which she wears with a leaf headband. She (like the rest of her friends) has a tattoo of a cardinal on her left shoulder, symbolizing the loss of Flapjack.
Amity
Amity is a slender teenage witch with fair skin, bright golden eyes, and pointed ears. She originally had chin-length hair dyed two shades of aquamarine, with her roots visible at the roots—her natural hair color. She also originally wore her hair pulled back into a small ponytail, keeping the front strands out of her face, and had a buzz cut, mostly hidden but visible at both temples. Near the end of "Through the Looking Glass," Amity decides to dye her hair lavender, revealing brown streaks at her shaved sides and short bangs that now fall over her forehead. After several months in the human world, her hair has grown to shoulder length, fading the lavender color to a much lighter purple, and her brown roots are now very visible on top of her head.
King
King Clawthorne is the third major character in The Owl House. He is a young Titan (originally believed to be a demon), Eda's assistant and later her adopted son, and Luz's best friend. He initially sought to reclaim his supposed title and glory as the "Demon King" before shifting his focus to finding and reuniting with his family. However, it is later revealed that he is actually the last of the Titan race and the son of the Titan whose remains form the Boiling Islands. This revelation gives the King a new perspective on life, and after self-reflection, he embraces his identity but refuses to let it define him. The King's new goal is to protect those dear to him, namely from Emperor Belos and the Collector, the latter of whom seeks to win the King's friendship by any means necessary. On Unity Day, King reluctantly releases the Collector to save the islanders from the Draining Spell, then surrenders himself to ensure the safe return of Luz and her friends to the Human Realm. Over the following months, King is forced to "befriend" the Collector and aid him in his twisted reign of chaos on the islands, which takes the form of an elaborate game based on the events of King's life and his adventures with Luz. Although King attempts to convince the Collector to recognize his mistakes, the Collector later lures King, Eda, and Luz into a new series of games in revenge for King's perceived betrayal. Ultimately, King and his friends manage to redeem the Collector, but Belos corrupts the islands and soon takes control of Titan. A grueling battle with the tyrant ensues, and King and his friends manage to defeat Belos once and for all and end his reign of terror. After the Emperor's defeat and the Collector's reformation, King and his friends help restore the Islands to a better state, but maintain contact with the Collector. Four years later, King lives happily with his friends and family, accepted.
Eda Clawthorne
Eda is a tall woman in her mid-forties, with ivory skin and a somewhat slender figure tapering to wide hips, usually wearing red dresses. She has pointed ears, orange clawed nails, thin burgundy lips, golden eyes, and long, thick, layered hair dyed several shades of gray. She also has a removable golden fang and an oval amber stone on her chest, which helped her determine when her curse was intensifying, darkening. In her youth, her hair was dyed bright orange, her natural hair color. In the book "Improvise Like a Witch," Lilith says that Eda's curse affects her hair, implying that it would have naturally been the same orange color it was in her teens if it weren't under the curse. In the episode "Once Upon a Time There Was a Body Switch", she mostly resembles King in appearance, except for having gold eyes and white sclera instead of his, gray eyeshadow on her eyelids and around her eyes, visible eyelashes with black eyeliner, and a gold tooth in place of King's right fang. Beginning with the episode "Young Blood, Old Souls," in which the curse was shared between her and her sister, her left eye turns silver, and a white streak appears on the left side of her hair. Her right eye also takes on a dull golden hue. The oval gem on her chest turns black, indicating she lacks magical abilities. In her Owl Beast form, she resembles a large, owl-like monster with black eyes, sharp grayish-yellow teeth, and gray fur protruding from long, pointed ears. Her body is covered in dark turquoise fur, and she has two dark gray wings and black feet, reminiscent of a bird of prey. After coming to terms with her curse in the episode "Knock Knock on Hootie's Door," she can take on the form of a harpy similar to the Owl Beast. In this form, she has long, dark gray hair with a light gray streak on top, yellow eyes with black sclera, and tufts of hair sticking out of her
Luz Noceda
Luz is a slim, tanned Dominican-American teenager with golden-brown eyes and dark brown hair that has grown out slightly and is cut short. During a battle with Emperor Belos in the episode "King Tide," Luz sustains an injury that leaves a scar on her left eyebrow. This scar remains with her throughout the series. During her time on Earth, her hair begins to grow out, taking on a more curly appearance.
In the epilogue of the episode "Watching and Dreaming," it's revealed that her hair is slightly shorter, she's wearing a little mascara, and her cheeks are less chubby. She also got a tattoo of Flapjack's symbol on her left forearm in his honor, like the rest of her friends.
Ford Pines
Stanford "Ford" Philbrick Pines (born June 15), also known as the Author or simply Uncle Ford, was a paranormal investigator who came to Gravity Falls, Oregon, to investigate the vast concentration of supernatural activity in and around the town. After years of cataloging his research in a series of journals, he vanished into an alternate dimension. His journals remain the only evidence of his existence. Ford's identity and whereabouts were a central mystery and element of foreshadowing in Gravity Falls until midway through season two, when it was revealed that he is the long-lost twin brother of Stan Pines, who disappeared after a fight with his brother resulted in him being sucked into his own interdimensional portal.
Ford embodies the six-fingered hand symbol associated with Bill Cipher's zodiac sign, due to his polydactyly and the same symbol in his journals.
Stan Pines
Stanley "Stan" Pines (born June 15 or 16, 2008), also known as Grunkle Stan and formerly by his assumed name, Stanford Pines, is the great-uncle and summer guardian of Dipper and Mabel Pines, as well as Mr. Pines' paternal uncle. He is the second main protagonist of the series. After years of crime and notoriety, he settled in the remote town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, where he used local lore and the gullibility of "the dumbest people in the world" to finance his activities, operating a dubious tourist trap known as the Mystery Shack.
Despite his initial claims of skepticism regarding the supernatural, he is later revealed to be deeply involved with the paranormal and the town's strange paranormal status, particularly the decades-long operation of the interdimensional portal he used to rescue his twin brother, Ford Pines.
Stan embodies the oyster symbol associated with Bill Cipher's zodiac sign, as it is featured on his fez.
Mabel Pines
Mabel Pines (born August 31, 1999)[6][23] is an optimistic, outgoing, and lively 13-year-old girl (12 years before the events of the finale) and one of the two main protagonists of the series. Along with her twin brother, Dipper, she spends the summer of 2012 with their cousin "Grunkle" Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon, where she and her brother frequently encounter the supernatural. Armed with a grappling hook she found in the Mystery Shack gift shop, she and Dipper navigate strange, new places together and uncover the town's mysterious secrets. Mabel embodies the shooting star symbol associated with Bill Cipher's zodiac sign, as it appears on one of her sweaters.
Dipper Pines
Mason "Dipper" Pines (born August 31, 1999) is a smart, inquisitive, and adventurous 13-year-old boy (12 years before the events of the finale), one of the two main protagonists of the series. Along with his twin sister, Mabel, he spends the summer of 2012 with his cousin "Grunkle" Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon, where he and his sister constantly encounter paranormal activity in the town. Armed with Journal 3, which he found in a hidden compartment in the Gravity Falls forest, he and Mabel attempt to unravel and uncover the town's mysterious secrets. Dipper represents the pine tree symbol associated with Bill Cipher's zodiac sign, as it is present on his hat.
Plantar family
The Plantar family is a family of amphibians that live on Plantar Farm in the Wortwood Marsh. The family originally consisted of Hop Pop, the patriarch and grandfather; Sprig, an energetic young frog who is always up to mischief but also kind and compassionate; and the youngest member, Polly, who is still a tadpole. Anne Boonchui, a teenage girl kidnapped from her parents' home, was adopted and eventually became an honorary member of the Plantar family. Their pets were two snails named Bessie and MicroAngelo. Later, Frobo, an accidentally created robotic frobot who eventually formed a brother-sister bond with Polly, also became part of the Plantar family as an adopted member.
Marci Woo
Marcy Regina Wu is a major supporting character in Amphibia, appearing as a non-speaking recurring character in the first season and a main character in the second and third seasons. She is a 13-year-old, later 14-year-old Taiwanese-American girl, childhood friends with Ann Boonchui and Sasha Waybright, attending St. James High School together. On Anna's 13th birthday, Marcy read about the Disaster Box and its powers and discovered it after an argument with her parents over her refusal to leave Los Angeles. When Anna opened the box, Marcy, Anna, and Sasha were teleported to different locations in Amphibia. Marcy found herself within the walls of Newtopia and was promoted to Chief Ranger of the Newtopian Night Watch, working directly for King Andrias of Amphibia. She represented the green Wit Stone on the Disaster Box. She made a deal with Andrias: she gave him the box of recharged stones for his plans to travel to other worlds, in exchange for him taking her, Anna, and Sasha with him, unaware of the king's true intentions. Some time later, Anne and Sasha learned that Marcy had discovered the Disaster Box and told Sasha about it, sharing her knowledge of its power before it sent her, Anne, and Sasha to the Amphibian, thus revealing that she was responsible for sending the three girls there. Marcy later confronted Andrias and aided Anne and Sasha in the battle for the Disaster Box, but in the process, Andrias impaled Marcy with his sword, though not before she dropped a charged music box that sent Anne and the Plantars to Earth. Afterward, and during Andrias's planned invasion of Earth, Marcy remained comatose, recovering from her injuries. She was freed by Lady Olivia and General Yunan, but their attempts at rebellion ultimately proved futile when Andrias captured them; and Marcy became the unwitting host of Newtopia's artificial intelligence and Andrias's true master, the Core, fusing them into the personality known as Darcy.
Sasha Waybright
Sasha Elizabeth Waybright is a major supporting character in Amphibia, serving as the main antagonist at the end of the first season, a secondary antagonist in the second season, and a major character in the third season. She is a 13-year-old girl of German-Slavic descent and a childhood friend of Anna Boonchui and Marcy Wu. She attended St. James High School in Los Angeles, California, until she, Anna, and Marcy were transported to Amphibia in separate locations. She was a first lieutenant in the Toad army and remained Captain Grime's second-in-command during his plan to attack Newtopia. She represented the pink Power Stone on the Disaster Box.
Following the failed coup in Newtopia and the presumed deaths of Anna and Marcy, Sasha took refuge in the Wartwood swamp shortly after the takeover of the Newtopian Empire. Realizing her mistake, she decided to atone for her sin by defending Wartwood and leading its inhabitants in the fight against King Andrias. When Anna returned to Amphibia during its darkest hour, she and Sasha became co-leaders of the Wartwood Resistance.
Despite their best efforts to stop Andrias's army, the Core ultimately launches an invasion of Earth. However, Sasha manages to defeat the Core and free Marcy from its control, thus ending the invasion. Realizing that the Core-controlled moon of Amphibia is falling, Sasha, Anne, and Marcy gain the powers of the Catastrophe Stones to defeat the Core once and for all. After Anne obtains the shards of the Remnant Stones to open the final portal to Earth, Sasha bids a tearful farewell to Grime before returning home to Los Angeles with Anne and Marcy. Ten years later, as an adult, Sasha has become a counselor for children, though she retains her tough and determined nature. She later reunites with Marcy, and they meet up with Anne to celebrate Anne's 23rd birthday.
Annie Boonchui
Ann Savisa Boonchui (แอน สาวิสา บุญช่วย) is the main protagonist of Amphibia. She is a 13-year-old Thai-American girl who, under the influence of her best friends Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu, stole the Box of Disasters on her thirteenth birthday in seventh grade in 2019. After Ann opened the box, the three friends were transported to different locations in Amphibia. Finding herself on the strange, lily-shaped island of Amphibia, Anne makes a new friend—an energetic young frog named Sprig Plantar. Together, they begin to seek adventure and explore the mysteries of the world of Amphibia. Anne and her new frog family try to solve the mystery of the Box of Disasters and find a way to return Anne home, as well as find Marcy and Sasha, who were transported along with her.
Anne returns home alone with the Plantars to Los Angeles, California, and must hide their frog-like nature from other humans while trying to find a way to return to Amphibia to rescue her friends and defeat King Andrias once and for all. At the same time, she must thwart Andrias's various deadly plans against her and her family that he sends to Earth. Anne eventually returns to Amphibia and joins the resistance, seeking to defeat Andrias and end his reign. After the invasion fails and the realization that the red moon is falling due to the Core, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy gain the power of the Gems to push it back. Unable to do so, Anne absorbs all the Gems' power and destroys the moon and the Core, dying in the process. However, Anne is transported to a purgatory-like dimension through a copy created by the Gems' creator, who offers her a job as the new guardian of the multiverse, but she declines, being only a teenager. The copy agrees to wait until Anne has lived her entire human life before reaching out to her again, and sends her back to Amphibia, where she is joyfully reunited with her friends.
