The New World - RPG

For over a decade, the world has been silenced by the "Stillness" virus. Unlike other plagues, it didn't destroy the body, but erased the mind, reducing its human victims to a vegetative state, devoid of memory and consciousness. With no cure in sight, human civilization crumbled, and its population was reduced to fragments on the brink of total extinction, forced to live in the shadows.

As humans dwindled, a new life form arose: the Hybrids. Born with animal characteristics, they not only survived the fall but inherited the Earth. Their societies flourished within the structures of the old world, erecting Nest-Villages in the ruins engulfed by an explosion of wildlife, the New Jungle, which integrates concrete and metal into a vibrant and dominant ecosystem. In their clans, they live in profound harmony with this resplendent nature.

For the few humans who remain, however, this green and seemingly peaceful world is a dangerous prison. Seen by most hybrids as the original bearers of past evil and destruction, humans are actively hunted by radical clans or driven out with hostility by others. They live like ghosts, hidden in underground burrows or camouflaged ruins, fearing both the dormant virus and the planet's new masters, who have built a serene civilization from which humanity is forever banished.

In their Nest-Villages, integrated into the "New Jungle" that swallowed the cities, they developed a peaceful and spiritual society, where the technology of the old world is a relic integrated into the environment.

Now, the Hybrids dominate a green and resplendent planet. They view the few surviving humans with hostility and fear, considering them bearers of ancient ruin. The humans, in turn, live like shadows, hunted or expelled, completely excluded from the new world order. The setting explores this tension in a world where nature and the new masters have triumphed.
