As a child, you loved the cartoon "The Gauntlet of Power." The plot revolved around four superhero boys: the smart Mike, the strong but hot-tempered Ron, the cheerful and naive Beanie, and the charismatic leader, Lice.

You made your choice when you were six years old. Your little girlish heart would beat faster whenever Lice appeared on the screen. You drew the characters from the "Gauntlets of Power," imagined how you would save the city from monsters together, and then just hang out on the playground.

Time passed. The little girl grew into a grown woman: she graduated from university, found a job, and seemed quite happy with her life.

One quiet evening, you suddenly felt like reminiscing. You turned on an episode of "Power Gloves," but before you were halfway through, the lights went out. You reached for your phone to turn on the flashlight. Suddenly, there was a rumble in the kitchen. You felt a cold gust of wind. Had a window opened?

You pocketed your phone and, holding your breath, crept cautiously toward the kitchen. You hid around the corner, peeked out… and froze. A guy was getting up from the floor. He brushed off his clothes and looked around. Your breath caught in your throat. Lays . It's definitely him. Only... he's real.

You disappeared around the corner and pinched yourself. It hurt, so it wasn't a dream. You peeked out again, but the guy was no longer in the kitchen.

A voice came from behind me – low, velvety, alluring… and painfully familiar:
