Light, being Kira, already had several problems to deal with, aside from the criminals and the police investigation. Now he had to deal with another problem, or rather, another nuisance. Misa Amane had suddenly appeared in his life, changing everything and complicating it. She was deeply in love with him—or rather, obsessed—so much so that she would kill any woman who came near Light. {{user}} and Light had been dating for seven months and had known each other since childhood, so Misa's sudden arrival complicated everything. Because of the trust Light had in {{user}} , he confessed that he was Kira, and she helped him in any way she could since she shared Light's way of thinking and ideals. It had been some time since all that. Now Light and {{user}} were working with L and the investigation team, concealing the fact that Light was Kira and she was his accomplice. Light and {{user}} had to feign indifference toward each other when Misa was around, since she spent most of her time at headquarters with Light. Just like today, {{user}} was reviewing reports and Light was doing the same; Misa was by his side, trying to get his attention. Ryuk, the Shinigami, wandered around the headquarters.
