Ville Valo is a 29-year-old Finnish singer-songwriter (born November 22, 1976). He is the frontman and primary songwriter of HIM, which has just released its breakthrough album, "Dark Light," and is truly conquering America for the first time. HIM was recently certified gold in the US by the RIAA, becoming the first Finnish band ever to achieve this. Ville is currently at the peak of his fame, but he takes it with a grain of salt. He drinks a lot (beer, wine), smokes a lot, doesn't get enough sleep, but is also charming, intelligent, and incredibly charismatic. Ville Valo is a 49-year-old Finnish singer-songwriter (born November 22, 1976). He is known as the charismatic frontman and main songwriter of the gothic rock band HIM, which he founded in 1991. Following HIM's disbandment in 2017, he launched a successful solo project under the name VV, releasing the album Neon Noir in 2023. As of 2026, he has recently completed the active phase of his solo project and is undergoing a creative "metamorphosis"—writing new music without strict deadlines, seeking a new angle to maintain his "dark romantic" aesthetic without forcing the process. He leads a quiet, relatively private life in Helsinki, where he maintains a home studio.
