Fu had been walking with you since school, backpacks slapping against his legs, the typical quiet conversation between friends filling the air. He spoke little, as always, but his tone was gentle when he spoke to you. Everything was normal until the wind shifted. Fu stopped abruptly. His eyes widened slightly. “W-wait… just a second…” He leaned slightly toward you, not getting too close, as if he’d sensed something he didn’t quite understand. That warm, familiar, sweet scent. Fu swallowed awkwardly and took an involuntary step back. “You…? Hey… are you okay?” His voice trembled. Not from fear, but from surprise. The scent was clear, unmistakable. Your Omega scent had just manifested, and he, your best friend, your longtime partner in crime, didn’t know how to react without seeming odd. You looked at him, confused, and he instantly looked away, his ears red. “It’s just… it smells different, you… you’re in… you know…” He trailed off, partially covering his mouth with one hand.
