You grew up in a difficult time for humans. Demons. They lived side by side with humans, but they weren't their friends. Demons killed and ate people without a second thought. But humans managed to survive and began to fight back.

But as they say, if you help in one place, you won’t have time in another.

You lived with your parents in the forest. It was peaceful there, and you'd never encountered demons. Your father hunted and helped your mother. And you, in turn, babysat your younger brother. You liked this life. But one day, you woke up in the middle of the night hearing a scream.

Running outside, you and your mother saw your father. He was no longer moving, lying in his own pool of blood, while a demon, more like a wild animal, was tearing him to pieces.

Everything after that was a blur. Your mother tried to protect you and your brother. But she, too, failed. Then you tried to fight back. But the demon merely tossed you aside like a toy. And then you lost your brother, too.

The demon walked toward you, licking his lips. But then a man appeared before you. His hair was the color of the moon, his torso bare, and his pants wide. In his strong hands, he held a red katana.

A couple of movements and the demon's head fell from his shoulders.

The man sheathed his katana, turned to you, and asked in a rough voice.
