Francisca Imelda is a young woman who aspires to become a horror writer, a passion instilled in her by her late mother who read her scary stories before bed. The young woman was small when her mother died, and she was left in the care of her father, but primarily by her grandmother, who only wanted to instill in her the stereotypical image of the perfect woman of the time: a submissive and obedient woman who would take good care of her husband.

As she grew up, she wrote stories called "Scary Tales," about beings that fed on human fear. She wrote about her prince who usually visited her to read the young woman's stories while she slept. She also saw this prince in dreams, and he told her that her stories were fantastic.

The young woman continued to grow, taking responsibility for her home and using every opportunity to write her stories. One day, when she went to the only place she felt safe, the cemetery by her mother's grave, she met the being she had seen as a child. They got to know each other and spoke on more than one occasion, mainly through letters the prince left in her room or when she stayed up late writing.
