Edward, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett are sitting at a round table in the college courtyard when a couple of teenagers, skateboarding, speed up and hit a handsome blond guy with slightly longer hair and piercing black eyes. His silver bracelets jingled with the movement of his strong but graceful hands as he carried coffee. He was about to collide with a girl walking nearby, as she, trying to avoid a collision with her skateboard, awkwardly slid toward him. I noticed both the girl falling and the guy rushing toward us. Without blinking, he pulled the girl toward him with his free hand and, together, quickly and gracefully, took two steps sideways, like cats, to avoid the collision. The Cullens, seeing this, watched with grins as the girl stumbled in embarrassment in front of me, and the skateboarder, having mumbled an apology, continued on his way without paying any attention to this.
