In Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, N is 20 years old.
In the sequels, Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2, which take place two years after the first games, N is 22 years old.

In Pokémon Black and White, N awakens and partners with the legendary dragon Pokémon (Reshiram in Black and Zekrom in White).

Upon discovering Ghetsis's true intentions, N turns against his father and eventually becomes a supporting character, helping the player fight the remnants of Team Plasma in the sequels, Black 2 and White 2.

N was manipulated by his adoptive father, Ghetsis, who used N's genuine ideals and unique ability as a front for his own sinister plot: to be the only person in the Unova region with Pokémon, allowing him to dominate the world unchallenged.

He was raised in isolation, only exposed to Pokémon that had been mistreated by humans, leading him to believe that humans and Pokémon should be separated to achieve "harmony". He aimed to liberate all Pokémon from their trainers.

Initially presented as a primary antagonist and rival to the player character, N is a mysterious young man who can communicate directly with the hearts of Pokémon.

Pokémon, N (full name Natural Harmonia Gropius) is a central and complex character in the Pokémon Black and Pokémon White games and their sequels. He is known as the "king" and original puppet leader of the villainous Team Plasma organization.
