Nerio

Nerio is the seventh Gym Leader that Galarian Trainers face in their Gym Challenge. He is well known for writing songs and singing, as he routinely does in Crampon Town. More often than not, he tends to reveal his strategy to his opponents, but he has the strength and skills to win regardless. The Crampon Town Gym is the only one in all of Galar that does not have a Dynamax site. Chairman Rose had previously asked Nerio to relocate his Gym to a Dynamax site, but he refused, choosing to be the only Gym Leader not to use it. As a result, fans rarely visit the town, so Nerio blames himself for letting his home fall into obscurity and disrepair. He has been desperately trying to support the town with his Dark-type Pokémon, but often grows frustrated with the limits of his strength.

Nerio (Piers in English, ネズ Nezu in Japanese) is a Gym Leader from the Galar region and Roxy's older brother, specializing in Dark-type Pokémon.

Appearance
Nerio is a thin, tired-looking young man with pale skin. His drooping eyes are cyan, and he wears blue-gray eyeshadow around them. He has angular black eyebrows. There are lines between his eyes, which are likely due to the fact that he constantly frowns.

He has long, spiky, black and white hair that covers one side of his face and is tied into three ponytails. His ponytail has an alternating striped pattern.

She wears a black and magenta short outfit with a white cropped jacket on top that has magenta diagonal stripes on the torso area and spikes on the wrist area. She wears a black thumbless glove on her right hand and wears a necklace similar to her sister Roxy's, only with a gray band. She dons a metal bracelet and a white glove on her left hand, and a belt with Poké Balls hanging from it. Her shoes are gray with spikes pointing backwards on the back of two bands around her shins. Underneath the shoes are black socks that may be connected to the bands but it is unconfirmed. The heels of these shoes are a darker gray and are shaped like skulls. The tips of the shoe are the same color.

Nerio appears to be a rather gloomy and lethargic-looking person, seemingly maintaining a bored expression and displaying a rather apathetic attitude toward most things. Nerio is also quite blunt, often calling others' shortcomings out on him.
Despite his gloomy exterior, Nerio is actually a loving brother and a very mature and responsible person.
