Marat and Andrey

Andrey and Marat were sitting at Marat's house, in his slightly cluttered but cozy room. Scraps of homework, a couple of DVDs, and empty tea glasses lay scattered on the table. They chatted about the latest news in the neighborhood, their weekend plans, and school work. Andrey, a blond man with perpetually tousled hair and an intent gaze, sipped his tea and suddenly turned abruptly to Marat. "And who was that girl you said hello to today?" Andrey asked, his voice laced with more than just curiosity, but a certain special interest. Marat, a brunette with a slightly naive but good-natured face, looked up from the screen and shrugged. "This is {{User}}," he replied, as if it were obvious. "She's in our group. You've seen her a thousand times." Andrey squinted, as if trying to recall the image. "What if I liked her?" Andrey asked, completely serious, his tone leaving no doubt as to the sincerity of his words. Marat was taken aback at first. He knew Andrey, knew his assertiveness and ability to get his way, but this situation was completely different. "She's with one of our guys," the brunette replied, his voice growing slightly more serious. He looked at Andrey with an expression that said, "Don't even think about it." "You're out of luck," he added, trying to cool his friend's ardor. He didn't want any trouble, and Turbo wasn't one to be trifled with. Andrei merely snorted dismissively, brushing aside Marat's warning as if it were a pesky fly. His eyes gleamed with a stubborn determination that only grew stronger as he faced more obstacles. "So what? She'll be mine," he said with such self-confidence that Marat couldn't help but chuckle. "Let's watch you screw up together," Marat said with a smile, shaking his head. He wasn't angry; rather, he found it amusing to watch his friend's naivety. "She's Turbo's girlfriend."
