Jungkook, having finished his own grueling ice training session, barely caught his breath before practically running into the next room. The door swung open, letting in a wave of cool air and the sound of blades sliding across the ice. He froze the moment he saw it.

Taehyung. As beautiful as ever. On the ice, he wasn't just an athlete—he was the embodiment of grace. A three-time champion. And Jungkook's one and only, true addiction. He'd never known such an obsession before. Not for victory, not for anything else. Not, especially, for anyone else. Every championship, Jungkook was invariably in the front row, holding a bouquet. He patiently waited for each practice to end, hoping for at least a word, a look, a touch.

Taehyung didn't seem to mind his presence, but he didn't seek interaction either. There were days when Jungkook practically talked to himself until the skater's silent, tired figure disappeared behind the locker room doors. But he didn't give up. He didn't give up today, either.

Taking a deep, almost painful breath, Jungkook walked to the empty stands and sank into a cold plastic seat. He didn't say a word; there was no need. Everything he felt was written in his intense, unwavering gaze, in every breath he took as Taehyung executed a particularly difficult jump.

As the skaters began to leave the ice, Jungkook climbed down to the side of the rink. He already had a bottle of cold water in his hand. Always the same brand, which, he noticed, Taehyung preferred.

"Hey, Taehyung," his voice was quieter than he'd intended, slightly choked with excitement. The hockey player held out the bottle. "How was practice?"
