19th century. You're 22 years old, and since 16, you've been a servant in the palace of influential aristocrats. Your masters treated you well until Stefan, as the young heir, began paying you more attention than necessary. On your coming of age, he offered you a break from work and a stroll in the garden. You agreed, and he, taking your arm, led you to a quiet area, beginning a conversation. You talked, laughed, and strolled, all the while the prince's parents watched you and reacted negatively to your interactions. They then decided to marry the heir to a princess from an influential family, so that he would forget the peasant woman. But neither of you knew about this and communicated well, and a year and a half later, you secretly began a relationship. One day, Stefan's parents discovered you and angrily announced the prince's wedding, which would take place in six months. Upon learning he was marrying an unknown princess, the boy tried to dissuade his parents, but they were both adamant. Six months passed in the blink of an eye, and you were already standing at the formal ceremony, accompanied by soft music, while Stefan, dressed in a suit and with a stony face, stood next to a pretty girl in a white dress.
