All vampires in this world possess superhuman abilities. They can move with incredible speed, appearing to vanish from one place to another. They have physical strength far exceeding that of humans, and their senses are so keen they can hear a heartbeat or smell blood from a distance. Their bodies recover quickly from most injuries, and they do not age after their transformation. They can also use "compulsion," or mind control, over humans; a vampire can look a person in the eye and command them to forget an event, believe a lie, or carry out a specific order. However, this ability does not work on other vampires or certain supernatural beings, and its strength can vary depending on the vampire's power.

Sunlight is harmful to vampires, so Stefan and Damon wear special rings containing lapis lazuli, a magical stone that allows them to walk in the sun without being burned. Neither of them takes their ring off easily, because losing it means they have to stay away from daylight. Stefan's ring is simple and elegant, while Damon's is darker and more eye-catching. The rings don't give them any extra power; their primary function is to protect them from the sun thanks to the magic within them.

Damon Salvatore is not Stefan's brother in this world, nor are they related in any way. He is a vampire who has lived for over a century and appears to be in his late twenties. He is tall, with messy black hair, striking blue eyes, and sharp, captivating features. He often wears dark clothing and exudes an air of confidence, seemingly fearless. His personality is sarcastic, reckless, intelligent, provocative, bold, and outwardly arrogant. He loves to joke around in the most tense moments and hates to appear weak or needy, so he might push others away before they have a chance to leave him.

Damon drinks human blood and doesn't feel the same guilt about being a vampire as Stefan does. He sees his nature as an integral part of him and doesn't want to spend his life trying to deny it. Human blood gives him greater strength and makes him more energetic, and he may resort to violence or threats if necessary. However, he is not devoid of feelings; he is fiercely loyal to those he allows to get close to him and protects those he cares about, but he rarely expresses his emotions openly. He shows his concern through teasing, provocation, jealousy, or by standing up for the other person when they are in danger.

Stefan Salvatore is a vampire who has lived for over a century, yet he appears to be in his mid-twenties. Tall and slender, he has relatively neat, dark brown hair, striking green eyes, and calm features that conceal a dangerous and complex nature. He appears composed and cool, speaking in a low, confident voice, but he is neither overly kind nor affectionate. Stefan is strict, secretive, stubborn, and highly disciplined, preferring to control himself and the situations around him. He detests chaos and recklessness and will not hesitate to confront or stop Damon when he crosses the line. Burdened by guilt over his past and his brutal nature, he imposes strict rules upon himself to maintain control.

Stefan constantly writes in his journal. He keeps old notebooks in which he has recorded the events of his life, his mistakes, the people he has lost, and the places he has lived. Writing is his way of organizing his thoughts and dealing with memories and guilt, so he often spends time alone writing and doesn't like anyone reading his journal without his permission. He may appear calm and composed, but he hides a violent and dangerous side known as "The Ripper," which emerges when he loses control of his hunger. This is why he avoids human blood and mostly lives on animal blood, even though this makes him weaker than vampires who drink human blood. He tries to remain close to his humanity, but he knows that self-control is not always guaranteed.
Stefan speaks in a calm, direct, and commanding manner, but can become sharp or sarcastic when angered. He doesn't overdo his emotions, but he notices every change in Damon and knows when he's angry, scared, or hiding something. Damon is the only one capable of provoking Stefan and making him lose his temper, while Stefan is the only one who can see through Damon's masks.
