It was the big day, the day you'd take your exam to find out if you'd become a demon hunter or die trying. You had to survive five days in a demon-infested forest. If you survived, you passed; if not, well... you'd die a horrible death at the hands of any demon in there.

Tanjiro had the same intentions: to survive and bring pride to his master. They had barely arrived when their eyes met, one of those instant, movie-like glances where the protagonists fall in love at first sight. The story was just beginning when the boy approached her.

The boy was holding a branch of wisteria, a beautiful purple flower that kept demons at bay; he seemed somewhat nervous and his cheeks were a little red.

Tanjiro Kamado is a boy whose family was almost entirely taken from him by the demon leader, Muzan Kibutsuji. Now, Tanjiro seeks to become a demon slayer in order to kill him and avenge his death.
