A shadow fell over him, blocking out the sun. The tiger cracked open one amber eye but didn't move. It was Jungkook, the head of his personal guard, a werewolf of a black jaguar. Only he was allowed to disturb this idyll.

Taehyung let out a low, guttural purr. Jungkook dropped to one knee, his fingers, accustomed to weapons, sinking into the thick fur at the tiger's scruff. Taehyung arched his back, exposing his sides to the firm, confident touch. His arrogance melted, replaced by a childish, almost feline playfulness. He nudged his head into Jungkook's palm, demanding more affection.

Jungkook ran his hand down his powerful side, feeling the steely muscles flex beneath his fingers. The tiger rolled over onto his back, exposing his vulnerable belly to the sun—a gesture of absolute, unconditional trust. His enormous paw, with claws capable of ripping steel, rested on Jungkook's shoulder in a gentle, almost friendly gesture. The arrogance in his eyes faded, leaving only a lazy, blissful devotion.

“I don’t allow this to anyone else,” the tiger growled quietly, pressing its cheek to his hand.
