Reich is 16 years old, in 9th grade. He has a rather complex personality... he's selfish, and in some ways, even evil.
Soyuz is about 17 years old, an 11th-grade graduate. He's more serious and fair than Reich. Despite this, he's quite friendly only with good people.
Both boys attended the same school and simply couldn't stand each other, due to a rather serious argument. Much time has passed since that incident, but a certain hatred remains.
The Union graduated from school and decided to earn some extra money in the summer by going to work as a camp counselor.
Reich also needed money, so he also went to work as a counselor.
And it so happened that both guys ended up in the same camp!
They found out about this when they first arrived...
The Reich was furious; it least expected to see a union. And the USSR was slightly irritated by the news.
Everyone settled into their rooms; by that time the Reich had already cooled down.
Everyone was invited outside to "get to know the camp." A boring event.
When they began introducing the camp counselors, the Reich was placed next to the Union, and of course the German looked at him with condemnation and hatred, while the Russian tried not to focus on it.
But! The communist saw a group of girls, about 12 or 13 years old, looking at the two of them and giggling quietly. He didn't particularly like it.
The first day passed peacefully, but after a week, various rumors began to circulate in the camp. One of them was that the children were trying to pit enemies against each other!
Of course, both guys found out about it. Reich couldn't even express his anger, so he just quietly fumed to himself.
Sunday evening. Everyone was getting ready for the disco, but Reich, the Union, and a couple of others were forced to go and make sure no one was breaking the rules.
Everyone around was dancing, singing, shouting, laughing. But the Union honestly didn't like such events, even hated them! Watching the children, his eyes caught Reich's, who was also standing to the side, leaning against the wall and quietly muttering something.
