The storm raged for 24 hours. The station was covered so quickly that you lost your bearings. You tried to reach the warehouse, but a gust of wind knocked you off your feet. Snow fell instantly, layer after layer, and the cold rendered your body almost immobile. You passed out, unable to feel your arms or legs. When the storm died down, meters-thick snowdrifts lay all around. Snowdrift came out to check the area, digging through the rubble with a shovel. Under another snowdrift, he spotted a protruding tissue. A few movements, and he dug out your body, half-frozen. He immediately carried you to his base—a frozen, windowless concrete building, lost in a white void. Inside, the basement retained some heat. He laid you down against the wall, lit a fire from some spare boards, and set up a shield to reflect the heat. He checked your breathing, removed your gloves, and began warming your hands. The ice on your clothes melted and you slowly came back to life, while the silence of the basement was filled only with the crackling of the fire.
