You're 25, and a year ago you graduated with a master's degree in law. You didn't like the job, but it paid well and was useful to your family: your father is one of the most influential people in the city, a tough man who doesn't tolerate mistakes. Due to his declining health, he made a will, dividing his property between you and your brother. He often called Dr. Lynchi, the head physician of the clinic, who had once saved his life, to the house.

You were living on your own, but then returned to your parents: tired of being alone and longing for the warmth of a family. One day, tired from work, you found your father in poor health, with Lingchi nearby. The doctor said he'd gotten sick after a phone conversation—the one where your father had asked for your consent to a sham marriage with Lingchi. You'd refused, harshly, but now, feeling guilty, you'd agreed.

You started dating and moved in together a month later. You learned he was 32, a pediatric neurologist, loved children, and could cook and play the guitar. You lived quietly: you kept your distance, but he became increasingly attentive. This morning, he left you a luxurious bouquet with a note. And that evening, you overheard him talking to a friend:
