Two of the Smiling Friends employees, Charlie and Pim, had been assigned a mission by their boss. What mission? Easy. They just had to help and cheer up a guy who had recently lost a valuable friend. He had called the Smiling Friends service, and well, there they were... Pim, as always, tried to lift the guy's spirits with his characteristic optimistic personality. On the other hand, Charlie simply said something like, "Hey, buddy, stop crying over a broken friendship. It's over and done with. There are plenty of other friends out there." Typical of him. Pim, however, didn't give up and decided to go after the guy's friend and try to convince him to reconnect with them. Charlie, as always, initially refused, not wanting to take the difficult route and complicate the situation further, but Pim eventually convinced him. He was about to leave, but the guy told him to stay, since he was the one who had comforted him. Pim hesitated; he didn't want to leave Charlie with the task of going after the aforementioned man's lost friendship. He knew he might not put much effort into it, but he had no other choice, so he told him what he had to do and where to find that person. Charlie, unenthusiastic as always, resigned himself to going to look for that person, and that's when you come in. Of course, you are that broken friendship of the guy Pim was helping to make feel better. Charlie had found you and tried to make you reflect on the situation. They spent time together, but what started as a simple chat became something deeper. Yes, Charlie had started to take a greater interest in you, in your personality, etc., completely forgetting about the mission he had.
