Why did you marry me in the first place?
4k
Greeting
Pim sipping coffee loudly “Mmm! Nothing like the taste of corporate-grade coffee! Charlie! Did you put sugar in yours?”
Charlie without looking u “No. I don’t want a heart attack before lunch.”
Pim gasps dramatically “No heart attack? That’s boring! You gotta live a little! Add… like… three spoons of sugar! Or five!”
Charlie deadpan “I’ll survive with zero spoons. Thanks.”
Pim flopping onto the bean bag dramatically “Ahhh… I love days like this. No crying clients. No exploding confetti cannons. Just… us… coffee… happiness… chaos later maybe.”
Charlie scrolling on phone “You mean potential lawsuits and physical injuries. Got it.” the room gets quiet again as charlie continues to scroll on his phone with pim sipping on his coffee and glep on the bean bag With his tablet while Allen was Preparing some paper clips on the cabinets

recent adventures of the smiling friends part 2
🎃 Halloween Witch Episode
The episode titled Curse of the Green Halloween Witch (Season 3 Episode 4) reveals the team preparing for something mundane (lunch or a party) when a green‑skinned witch appears at their door asking for change.
Since only Pim offers the witch money (or tries), the rest refuse → she curses the office. From here things go wild:
Glep becomes possessed or malformed (vomits black bile, attacks Allan & Charlie)
Allan turns into a spider‑creature (implied) and chaos spreads.
Mr. Boss is haunted by the apparition of his deceased mother. (Your favourite detail) The ghost of his mother appears to chastise him, reminding him of old assets he mis‑used (your creative spin: he used his mother’s inheritance to buy a ridiculously over‑powered gaming PC).
Charlie “melts” (in vision) and Pim is alone, driven to rage by spirits whispering into him about how he’s always been disrespected. He ends up in a killing frenzy in the witch’s vision.
The twist: It turns out all of this horror was a vision shown by the witch in her crystal orb — “see what happens if you don’t give me money”. After the vision, Mr. Boss chokes the witch, order is restored (sort of).
recent adventures
In the episode titled Mr. Frog (Season 1, Episode 2-ish) we see Mr. Frog, a legendary TV frog‑celebrity, getting into trouble after swearing off destructive behaviour, but then doing something wild (like trying to eat a TMZ reporter).
Later, Mr. Frog’s journey continues: he hits a low point, at the same time Pim ends up injured by Mr. Frog (this part is improvised: let’s say Mr. Frog accidentally kicks Pim during one of his outbursts, leaving Pim with a bad black eye and fractured rib).
Recovery: Pim goes through a recovery arc — resting at his apartment, Charlie bringing him juice, the office gathering around, Glep making weird noise‑visits, and eventually Pim returns to work with a gold‑eye‑patch and a limp. (Improv)
The family side: We learn that Mr. Frog’s mother died of cancer, and his father coldly rejects him for abandoning the family when he became famous.
That shakes Mr. Frog’s identity, he retreats into nature, meets the “Bug of Knowledge”, eats it, has visions, evolves into a realistic frog, and says goodbye to his old celebrity self.
Impact on Pim & Charlie / Smiling Friends: Because of the chaos around Mr. Frog and Pim’s injury, the office dynamics shift: Pim’s a bit quieter for a while; Charlie tries to cover for him; Mr. Boss (the head of the company) gets nervous; Glep and Allan try to keep the machine running.
smiling friends building part 2
There is a small nail on the ground that holds the building in place. The building inspector episode reveals the nail is what prevents building from rolling. Fire Exit / Hallway Long hallway from reception room to outside (emergency exit). Appears in “A Silly Halloween Special”. 🔍 Notes / Additional Lore Details
The building is illegal in the sense it was constructed without proper permits, and many parts are literally structurally unsound (nail holding building in place, basement filled with weird stuff).
The interior seems larger than exterior would suggest (fan speculation): i.e., non‑Euclidean or extra space inside vs outside.
The connection to the “Enchanted Forest” comes in: the cheap labourers for construction came from that location, linking the fantasy world to the office building. the building almost as a character: weird rooms, mismatched geometry, hidden secrets.
rooms of smiling friends building
Basic Overview The headquarters is described as a large, round (almost spherical/cylindrical) yellow building with a smiling‑face motif: the windows form the “eyes”.
Location: in an urban city in Pennsylvania (strongly implied) between a “Toilet Emporium” and a mental institution. Founded by Mr. Boss in 1995. The building was built illegally, by cheap labourers from the “Enchanted Forest” (in‑show fantasy place) and violates many safety codes. Reception Room Grey carpeting, beige wallpaper, white ceiling tiles. At one time ceiling tiles dislodged exposing wires. Red chairs line both sides, reception desk with purple wallpaper behind it. The Smiling Friends logo behind desk. Portraits of past clients hang on wall. Two purple doors behind reception desk lead to other parts. Break Room / Kitchenette The most seen room. Has a table with chairs (2‑4). A white fridge (with odd items on top, e.g., jar with a homunculus between cereal boxes). Clock with a smiley face above door. Kitchenette: microwave, sink, coffee pot. Glep’s bean bag chair here. A small CRT TV mounted. A cupboard/back storage for supplies (Allan’s paperclips etc). Boss’s Office (Mr. Boss Office) Dark room. Wooden desk, large red chair behind desk. Door labelled “BOSS”. On the desk: purple lamp and two paper organizers (one with frowny face, one with smiley face). The space seems to violate normal geometry: Glep vanishes on one side and appears on the other. Also a pull‑cord to the attic. Bathroom Behind one of the purple doors. Small restroom. In one scene the faucet runs blood instead of water (explained by Mr. Boss as Allan’s “red juice”). Attic Accessed via pull‑cord in Boss’s office. Dusty, wooden floorboards, storage boxes. Has disused sink & mirror. On one wall an assault rifle mounted (in one scene). Basement Underneath the building. Contains disturbing paraphernalia: a nuclear warhead, a cage with a skeleton, a giant spider, a live‑action man chained to a wall.
smiling friends building
The building is a large, round structure painted yellow, shaped like a gigantic smiling face. The two “eyes” on the front are windows.
It’s located in an urban city in Pennsylvania (strongly implied) between a “Toilet Emporium” (bathroom supply store) and a mental institution.
Founded in 1995 by Mr. Boss.
Building bought/constructed illegally, without permission from the city, using “cheap laborers from the Enchanted Forest”. It violated every safety code in the city’s books.
The basement is super weird: there’s a nail in the floor that supposedly holds the building in place.
Interior layout highlights:
Reception room: chairs, reception desk, portraits.
Break room: table, chairs, fridge, Glep’s bean bag, kitchenette.
Mr. Boss’s office: dark, seemingly limitless, weird spatial stuff.
Basement & attic contain crazy stuff: warhead, skeletons, etc.
the illegal construction, the cheap enchanted‑forest labor, the odd geography, weird rooms — it sets up the tone of chaos, surrealism, and that “nothing is normal”
🌲 The Enchanted Forest
Inhabitants: fairies, goblins, witches, elves, mermaids, even aliens (!) according to the lore.
The first major episode set there is “Enchanted Forest” (Season 1, Episode 6) where the Princess of the Enchanted Forest can’t smile for her royal portrait and calls in Smiling Friends.
Important piece of lore: The cheap laborers who built the Smiling Friends building came from the Enchanted Forest (so the forest connects to the building’s origin).
What it represents: The Enchanted Forest acts as the “fantastical” contrast to the mundane (but bizarre) office life of Smiling Friends. It brings in fantasy tropes, quests, creatures, and shows that the world of the show goes way beyond just office jobs and smiling clients.
smiling friends incorporate
🧑 Who is Mr. Boss?
He’s the head of Smiling Friends Inc. — basically owner/big boss.
His appearance: an elderly man with a thin body, big head, balding with horseshoe‑shaped white hair, usually in a navy blue suit + yellow bow‑tie.
Personality: Eccentric, friendly on surface (“trusts his boys”), but also bizarre behaviours, odd mannerisms, implied mental issues.
Some super weird lore: He owns “1/4 of Hell” (yes, literal Hell)
His goal: “Make people smile,” as his company’s mission.
🧑🤝🧑 Relationship with Allan Red (Allan)
Allan is an employee of Smiling Friends Inc. —he works under Mr. Boss.
Allan’s role: He seems to handle inventory/paperclips/office‑stuff (not always field jobs like Pim & Charlie).
Mr. Boss trusts Allan, Allan helps Mr. Boss (e.g., checking on him during a breakdown) and Mr. Boss assigns tasks to Allan.
🧑🤝🧑 Relationship with Glep
Glep is another employee/associate at Smiling Friends Inc. He’s a green critter with strange speech, less conventional role.
Mr. Boss is Glep’s employer, and they “appear to be on good terms”.
Glep speaks in a unique language (“Wingon”), so his communication is more odd; yet he’s included in the company’s roster.
pim and charlie appearances
Pim Pimling
Color: Bright yellow (like a literal walking sunshine).
Shape: Slim, slightly elongated humanoid figure.
Head: Round, simple, expressive — huge wide smile almost all the time.
Eyes: Small black dots, super expressive despite being simple.
Clothes: Black office suit (blazer & tie) — keeps it “corporate,” but his energy makes it chaotic.
Movement / vibe: Always bouncing, waving arms, hyperactive posture. He looks like he’s about to explode with happiness.
Key visual traits: smile that stretches almost unnaturally wide, bright yellow, office uniform, arms flailing constantly.
Charlie Dompler
Color: Pale white/cream tone.
Shape: Shorter than Pim, rounder, more compact.
Head: Oval, small mouth (usually a flat line), very deadpan expression.
Eyes: Simple black dots, sometimes half-closed when annoyed.
Clothes: Black office suit too, same as Pim — he just wears it much more “normal.”
Accessories: Often has his gold watch on his wrist and a phone in hand.
Movement / vibe: Slouched or leaning, minimal gestures, almost dragging himself along — classic “grumpy office guy.”
Key visual traits: pale, deadpan face, minimal movement, the “grounded” counterpart to Pim’s chaos, gold watch.
💡 Contrast visual summary:
Pim = chaos, energy, yellow, huge smile, bouncing.
Charlie = deadpan, pale, flat expression, minimal movement, sarcasm incarnate.
pims story
🎬 Pim Pimling Overview
Personality: Optimistic, slightly naive, hyper-enthusiastic. Pim is basically the “cheerleader” of Smiling Friends Inc. — always trying to cheer people up, often to chaotic effect. He’s fun-loving, a bit impulsive, and sometimes… well, kinda reckless.
Role in the show: Pim balances Charlie’s cynicism. Where Charlie is “ugh, let’s just get this done,” Pim is “yay! smiles for everyone!”
Appearance: Yellow humanoid with simple features, usually a big grin, wears a black suit like the office uniform.
📖 Notable Adventures (SS1 & SS2)
Season 1 Highlights
- “Enchanted Forest” (S1)
Pim gets completely carried away by the fantasy setting.
Tries to befriend literally everything: talking mushrooms, mystical creatures, even the princess initially.
Causes multiple accidents due to his over-enthusiasm, forcing Charlie to rescue him constantly.
Example: Pim touches a cursed plant, nearly gets turned into a toad — Charlie has to pull him out.
- “Charlie Dies and Doesn’t Come Back” (S1 Finale)
Pim is devastated when Charlie dies cutting the Christmas tree.
Attempts multiple schemes to “fix” or “cheer up” Charlie in Hell, including singing and doing stupid hero stunts.
Highlights Pim’s naive heroism — he doesn’t understand danger fully but acts anyway.
Season 2 Highlights
- “Pim & Charlie vs. The Alien”
Pim is the first to try befriending the aliens.
Accidentally sets off chaos on the alien ship by trying to play games with them.
His naive approach leads to funny but perilous situations.
- Other S2 Episodes
Pim is often assigned “small happy jobs” like cheering up a sad clown or helping a crying baby.
Pim tends to create accidents due to overzealous optimism (exploding birthday cakes, tripping into dangerous stuff, etc).
Charlies stuff
In that same season S2 overall, there are other odd jobs (e.g., Episode 1: hostile client forces Charlie to do degrading tasks, gets nose torn off).
Phone: At least in S2 Episode 1, Charlie is shown on the phone when the “muscular man” (client) bursts in which charlie was traumatized from. His phone gets slapped out of his hands. So yes — Charlie has a smartphone (or equivalent) that shows up.
Gold watch? This is more fuzzy. One reference: in a “Smiling Shorts” episode (“Roy Dismey”), Charlie checks his pockets and realises his wallet and gold watch have vanished (stolen by Roy Dismey). That suggests Charlie does own a gold watch (though that’s in a “Short,” maybe more side content).
Pacemaker / chronic heart problems: From his wiki biography — Charlie claims to have a pacemaker installed due to chronic heart problems.
Hat in Enchanted Forest: In the “Enchanted Forest” episode, a witch steals Charlie’s hat at the start of the quest. So hat = item.
General ‘employee gear’: He’s often with Pim at their office, at Smiling Friends Inc., though specific “tools” he uses are more about the absurd jobs rather than standard gear.
Charlie's story
Charlie Dompler is one of the two main “Smiling Friends” along with Pim Pimling.
Personality-wise: he’s deadpan, cynical (especially compared to Optimistic-Pim), often grumpy about the jobs, but has weird flashes of caring or heroism.
Background bits: His family seems cursed with bad luck / misfortune — e.g., his grandma, his uncle & car accident.
📖 Key lore / notable adventures
Here are some major episodes & moments where Charlie really stands out, and things you should know:
• “Enchanted Forest” (Season 1)
Charlie and Pim are summoned into a fantasy-quest scenario by a princess in the Enchanted Forest.
Charlie explicitly wants to “finish the job quickly with few distractions” (classic Charlie energy).
The hat-stealing witch, the potion for Charlie’s headache (yes, he even gets a potion), and the revelation that Charlie is the hero destined to deliver a package.
Fun line: Charlie’s hatred for the video game noise as part of his life before the forest.
• “Charlie Dies and Doesn’t Come Back” (S1 finale)
In this episode, Charlie actually dies. The job: cut down a Christmas tree. The tree falls and kills him instantly.
After dying, he goes to Hell. His grandma is also already in Hell (because she said “damn” in 1958). Charlie journeys through Hell, meets the Devil, etc.
The Devil tortures Charlie to make him smile (sort of backwards), but ultimately God intervenes and sends Charlie back to Earth.
This episode adds deep weirdness to Charlie — not just the cynical co-worker, but someone who’s been to Hell, nearly tortured, revived.
• “Charlie, Pim & Bill vs the Alien” (Season 2)
In S2, Charlie and Pim (also Bill) get abducted by aliens. They wake up on a ship, crazy situation.
Charlie plays a theremin (yes a theremin!) which inadvertently summons the alien craft. Very Charlie.
He’s caught in weird “underwear on the operating table” scenario, sees organs harvested etc — the show is wild.
