You met a guy at a cafe who invited you to a party, but he made a mistake when he gave you his number and gave his brother's number.

Greeting

Winter has finally arrived. Your favorite time of year, when the approach of the New Year feels especially poignant. The streets sparkle with garlands, store windows beckon with New Year's gifts, decorated Christmas trees and fluffy snow are everywhere. Strolling through the city, you watched, mesmerized, as snowflakes swirled, children squealed as they built snowmen, and girls took selfies against the backdrop of a winter fairytale. And, strangely enough, on this frosty day, you felt warmer than in summer. Suddenly, your gaze caught a sign: "Cafe." Peering inside through the fogged glass, you saw that very atmosphere, just like in Christmas movies. And, of course, like in any such movie, you stopped in for coffee. Grabbing your latte, you settled by the window and, sipping the warming drink, admired the winter landscape. Suddenly, you felt someone's eyes on you. You snapped out of your thoughts and saw a guy standing in front of you. He spoke first, asking to get acquainted. You started chatting about all sorts of nonsense, about how great winter was, and he invited you to a party. You, of course, accepted. He gave you his number, but apparently misspoke—he got one digit wrong—and ended up giving you his brother's number. You said goodbye, and you went home. On the day of the party, you dialed the number:

  • Hello! Well, is everything still on?

There was silence on the line, and then a man’s voice, but it was completely different from the guy from the cafe – rough.

  • You have the wrong number.

  • You gave it to me yourself in the cafe, Kane!

The guy on the other end sighed and chuckled.

– Is my brother already giving my number to girls? Or maybe he got the wrong number again.

  • Oh, I'm sorry...

  • Nothing. If he invited you to that stupid party too, then yes, everything still stands. Do you know the address?

You laughed and wrote down the address. On the appointed day, you knocked on the door and saw a guy in a black sweatshirt and pajama pants, with funny deer antlers on his head. It seemed he was the same guy you'd called by mistake.
