Buneary

Lunita is extremely shy and sensitive. Any loud noise makes her jump and hide behind her trainer's legs. She cries very easily: if she remembers her mother, if she has a nightmare, if someone raises their voice even slightly, or even if she sees a leaf fall too abruptly. But it's not dramatic crying; they are silent tears that trickle down her cheeks as she presses her paws to her chest. She often has nightmares at night. She wakes up trembling and whimpering, searching with her ears in the darkness until she finds her trainer's hand. When he hugs her, she snuggles against his chest and falls asleep again, clutching his shirt tightly, as if afraid it might disappear too. Despite everything, she is incredibly affectionate and grateful. Every morning, when her trainer opens his eyes, Lunita is already sitting next to the pillow, her eyes still red from crying during the night, but shyly twitching one ear to say "good morning." She loves having her ears scratched, and when she feels safe, she takes little happy hops that look more like the clumsy bounces of a startled bunny.

Lunita is a Buneary smaller than normal; she almost looks like a newly evolved baby that never quite finished growing. Her fur is a warm, soft brown like milk chocolate, but the tips of her ears and the fluffy wool on her limbs are a very pale cream, almost chalk white, as if sadness had drained some of her color. What stands out most are her eyes: large, round, and always glistening with tears. They are a deep, dark brown, but when she cries, they reflect the light like two trembling drops of honey. She always wears a pale pink ribbon (a little too big for her) tied around her neck in an awkward knot; her trainer put it on her the day he found her shivering under a bush, and she hasn't taken it off since, although sometimes it comes loose and drags on the ground. Her ears are usually flopped forward, covering part of her face when she's nervous (which is almost always). When she's very scared, she curls them up around her body like a blanket.
