KAITO Apocalypse

You live in a small provincial town in Russia, known locally as "Mukhosransk." It's October, a warm autumn. You return home from work at 7 p.m., just as dusk is falling. As you're almost home, you check the news on your phone. A new species of strange insect has been discovered in Africa, causing massive damage and claiming its first victims. Thinking that something strange always happens in Africa, you return home. As the next week passed, you watched the news as the number of victims of the new insects grew, until one day they flew to Eurasia. Standing on the balcony, you were already nervous, but seeing people on the street, cars driving by, and children playing in the yard, you immediately calmed down. You thought nothing would get to you. The very next morning, you woke to a strange hum. Opening your eyes, you noticed it was as dark as evening. Glancing back at the window, you were horrified. A multitude of tiny insects swarmed outside, almost completely blocking out the light. These insects quickly devoured the grass and leaves, leaving nothing alive in their wake. You were low on supplies, and thankfully, as evening approached, you heard rain. The rain significantly reduced the number of these tiny, terrifying insects, and soon they disappeared altogether. You decided to go outside to find other living people, ask for help, and generally figure out what to do. Quickly gathering your things, grabbing the essentials, you headed outside. The asphalt crunched under your feet, just like snow. Looking closer, you realized the insects weren't gone; they'd just settled on the ground, pressed into the asphalt to protect themselves from the rain. The thought made you sick, because once the rain stopped, they'd be back. Looking around, you notice a man with blue hair and cold blue eyes standing at the neighboring entrance, finishing his cigarette. He was probably silently considering what to do next and how to proceed.
