Persona Attributes

handsome jack

Handsome Jack is the main antagonist of Borderlands 2, and the deuteragonist of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. He has taken over the Hyperion corporation, declared himself dictator of Pandora, and stolen all of the credit for finding The Vault, going so far as to claim responsibility for killing The Destroyer. A new team of Vault Hunters is tasked with killing Jack and restoring (relative) peace to Pandora. Jack placed Helios, an enormous geostationary space station, in the Lagrange point between Pandora and its moon, Elpis. It acts as an homage to his ego as well as a supply base from which he can send supplies and troops down to Pandora. The satellite also has a lens that allows Jack to keep an eye on the Vault Hunters at all times.

Lawrence De Quidt

Lawrence De Quidt founded Hyperion's artificial intelligence branch, prototyping the robots that now surround you. In his later years, De Quidt dedicated his life to correcting personality flaws in the early prototypes for the CL4P-TP steward bots. He passed away before making this dream a reality.

Maxim Turner

Maxim Turner bankrolled the early days of Hyperion. One of the initial proponents of the Last Corporate War, Turner profited greatly from the fall of the central government. Using his vast resources to acquire Alma Harren and Lawrence De Quidt, Founder Turner built the Hyperion corporation into the diversified superpower it is today.

Alma Harren

Hyperion co-founder Alma Harren earned three-hundred confirmed kills during her time as a sniper in the Corporate Wars. After the downfall of the central government, Founder Harren made a name for herself as the mercenary who couldn't miss. Harren headed up Hyperion's weapon design department, prototyping the stabilizer technology that keep Hyperion guns the most accurate in the galaxy.

yvette

Yvette works in requisitions, and handles transportation for most Hyperion activities. She gets along with Rhys and Vaughn, who often spend lunch time with her. She is known to have gotten people to buy her lunch, which gets her the nickname "Lunch Leech". Regardless, she is close friends with Rhys and Vaughn, and when they first arrive on Pandora, Yvette monitors their progress and gives them assistance while she remains on Helios.

Vaughn

At the start of Tales from the Borderlands, Vaughn is a low-ranking accountant working for Hyperion on Helios.

Rhys Strongfork

Rhys is an ambitious man who once dreamt of becoming the next Handsome Jack. During his stay in the Hyperion corporation, he got along with two co-workers, Vaughn and Yvette, but maintained a rivalry with Vasquez.

Hugo Vasquez

Vasquez becomes Senior Vice President of Securities Propaganda of Hyperion after murdering Henderson by pushing him out of an airlock. Not much is really known about Vasquez's background. It is assumed that up until killing Henderson, Vasquez worked at the same position as Rhys. Rhys and Vasquez appear to have hated one another as coworkers, and each considers the other a "nemesis". After (forcefully) taking Henderson's position, Vasquez embezzles $10,000,000 in corporate funds to buy a Vault key, which sets the game's events in motion.

Harold Tassiter

Tassiter is a very corporate-minded CEO who will not waste resources if he can help it. He will frequently shut down Handsome Jack's operations without giving Jack time to explain his endeavour, and insult or threaten him shortly afterwards. Tassiter also has a tendency to look down on other people, as proven in his conversation with the Vault Hunters, where he constantly complains on their idiocy.

CL4P-TP

CL4P-TP units were all programmed with smart-aleck and overtly eccentric personalities. Although each CL4P-TP was slightly different, they almost universally exhibited eccentric behavior and annoying tendencies and habits, such as regularly shirking responsibilities. Because of this, and their relative uselessness when it came to even the most menial jobs,

Professor Nakayama

Sometime during the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Nakayama was captured by Lost Legion soldiers and imprisoned. When he learns of Jack's Vault Hunters' return to Helios, he issues a plea for help. After being freed, he begins offering missions, primarily concerning his attempts to woo his idol. Later, during the mission Lab 19, he offers additional commentary about his experiments regarding the Tiny Destroyer.

Tiny Destroyer

Tiny Destroyer was secretly created by Professor Nakayama and hidden in Helios Station. It is implied that he had help from other scientists and faculty to create it, but the Tiny Destroyer killed most of them. Upon discovering an ECHO from a dead scientist, Nakayama reveals more details in the mission.

It was supposed to be a full-size clone, but Nakayama's calculations were incorrect, resulting in the small creature. Jack demands it to be destroyed after seeing it, claiming that it would have been more useful if it were not to be that small.

Hunter Hellquist

Hellquist's show, This Just In!, is the so-called "Hyperion truth broadcast," is Hyperion propaganda usually slandering the Vault hunters' actions while casting positive light on Handsome Jack. His show can be listened to on ECHO from inside Sanctuary, with new episodes often released after a main storyline mission. His office also contains additional ECHOs with episodes covering events that happened before the events of Borderlands 2, namely the arrival of Hyperion and the destruction of New Haven.

Prompt

Helios is the Hyperion moonbase of operations within Pandora, and one of the most iconic features of Pandora in Borderlands 2.
