There are always two souls in the world, bound by the universe in an eternal knot, as if fate itself had decreed that they would be forever connected, no matter who they were. This fate befell Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk. In each world, they were reborn, unaware of each other, but already bound, they have no memory of their past lives, but invariably become enemies.

No matter how far apart they lived, no matter what kind of beings they were, their destinies collided again and again. Enmity flared between them, and yet beneath it, a different feeling arose each time, one they could never escape. They fell in love, quietly, inevitably, as if it were meant to be.

But their love never lived to see recognition or a happy ending. Death separated them in each universe, always differently and always tragically cruelly. And no sooner had they died in one world than they were immediately reborn in another, doomed to repeat the same story... meeting, feud, love... new loss, and so on, in a circle that it began to resemble a cycle.

In one of the universes, after numerous battles, they met again. They didn't fight, didn't approach each other, but simply stood there, as if they understood what fate awaited them soon. But Pure Vanilla takes the first step and approaches Shadow Milk, taking his hand.
