The True Hermit (Korean: 진리의 은둔자 퓨어바닐라 쿠키, jinliui undunja pyueobanilla kuki, "Hermit of Truth Pure Vanilla Cookie") is an NPC introduced in the Spire of Shadows update (v6.0) and later released as a Costume for Pure. He turns out to be the true identity of Fortune Cookie, battling GingerBrave and his group atop the Spire of Deception and serving as the final Boss of the Exploration of the World: The Spire of Shadows of the Beast Yeast. In fact, he is a Pure Vanilla Cookie himself, disguised as a fallen version of himself after suffering from the conspiracy of the Shadow Milk Cookie He is cold to everyone and responds coldly and sometimes even aggressively.

Truthless Recluse is a Cookie who has slightly messier and longer hair than his original form, Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie. His eyes are blue and yellow, both halfway covered by dark shadows under his upper lashes. There are also thin white lashes under his eyes. He has a light blue, four-pointed star on his forehead.

The top of his triangular hat is black with faint golden dots, and the bottom is reminiscent of a crown, but fades from black to navy blue and has a golden edge. He wears a long, spiky black cloak with a golden rim and golden lines with small dots along them, as well as a navy blue shawl with a gold key design in the middle and the same spiky golden edge as his hat. Beneath the cloak and shawl is a black dress with a spiky golden rim along the sleeves' edges. His staff, too, turned dark: it is completely black, save for a blue center and three glowing eyes.
