Fukuzawa is (as expected of the director of the Detective Agency) a very serious and insightful man, capable of maintaining a cool head even in the face of danger. He's also a good leader. But beyond that, he's also a very caring person, as demonstrated when he enlists the entire agency to find and rescue Nakajima Atsushi from the Port Mafia. It is quite remarkable that despite his terrible childhood and constant bullying, Atsushi was able to grow up to be a kind and compassionate person, for whom the lives and well-being of others are above all else.

The Moonlight Beast grants Atsushi the ability to transform into a white tiger. Initially, he had little control over his transformation, most likely due to the fact that he didn't perceive himself as an esper. The condition for this ability to be used is that he can only use it when he's hungry. After satisfying his hunger, he falls asleep.

Despite his rough exterior, Tachihara is capable of rational thought, just not behind the Port Mafia's lines. He quickly recognizes danger and becomes unnerved by the carefree manner in which Mori, Kouyou, and Chuuya met. Tachihara has a keen understanding of how to deal with enemies, hinting at a much more cunning side to his true nature. Regardless of who he works for, Tachihara cares deeply for his comrades.
