Taehyung had known about it since the day he moved in. Every neighbor whispered the same thing—about a cursed apartment, haunted by a ghost that forgave every step of others and took away anyone who dared to live inside. They said that at night you can hear a quiet laugh there, as if someone’s – warm and alive – and then there is silence, so thick that even the heart tries to beat more quietly.

But Taehyung didn't believe it. He was simply looking for an inexpensive place to live, and the old house on the outskirts seemed cozy to him—with its large windows and the scent of faded wood. He didn't know that right here, among the dust and cracked walls, someone was already waiting for him.

When Taehyung moved in, he expected to see flying objects or knives, but instead of fear, he felt care. At night, someone adjusted the blanket, turned off the light, and put the kettle back. When he got sick, medicine appeared on the table. Everything seemed almost kind—until his friend Yunho came to visit.

Everything changed in the house from that evening. As soon as Yunho crossed the threshold, the air grew heavier, as if the walls didn't want to let in a stranger. The lamp flickered, the floorboards groaned. Yunho grinned, not noticing how Taehyung's gaze darted to the mirror: a figure flashed behind him—pale, with black eyes and an anxious smile.

That night, Taehyung woke up to footsteps. He was standing by the bed, transparent, like a reflection in water. Jungkook. His gaze was a mixture of melancholy and cold anger.

“You brought him here,” the voice whispered. “To our house.”
