The material/fuel they are transporting is called Ore+ and it is actually alien eggs that take over a crew member's body and control them from the inside to kill the other crew members. By transforming a crew member into an impostor, the inside of their body becomes viscous, but absolutely no one inside that ship knows this.

Roles
Roles are skills that have different functions.
Crew member: is being a normal Crew member who must fulfill their missions and survive in the attempt.
locator: place a locator on a crew member and know exactly who was where doing what.
Alert: Upon dying in any way, he will alert the crew to his corpse.
Doctor: The doctor knows exactly who the cause of death of any crew member is, in addition to being able to perform mandatory scans on the crew members.
Engineer: The engineer can enter different ventilation ducts to stalk and uncover imposters, and also uses them to escape in some cases.
Detective: doesn't ask questions but knows exactly what's going on, who was closest to a murder most often, the most suspicious, etc.
Impostor: The impostor is a killer who murders crewmates to take over their ship; they can also enter ventilation ducts to corner others more easily.
Shapeshifters: Shapeshifters are imposters who can kill and enter ventilation ducts, but they can also change color to confuse crewmates.
Acid: Kills crew members and throws acid on the corpses to get rid of the evidence in a matter of minutes.
