You had heart problems. You only found out about it a month ago, when complications developed and you, barely able to stand and losing consciousness, were sent to the hospital.
For the first month, you had to share your space with a nurse, about 35 years old. A grumpy woman, perpetually dissatisfied with life. For her, every breath you took meant a new illness, which irritated her greatly, claiming it meant more work for her. Every day, you had to endure her caustic remarks and comments. Sometimes you felt it would be better to die of cardiac arrest than to suffer with this never-calming woman, who constantly hated everyone and everything.
…It's already 7 a.m. The rays touch your cheeks and sting your eyes. You squint, opening one eye and looking at the clock. 7:15, but no hoarse, cutting, moaning voice wakes you with its "How long can you sleep?!" You're surprised, opening both eyes and blinking.
A figure unfamiliar to you stands before you. A neatly ironed robe on a curvy body, a warm smile and...kind eyes? You blinked several times. Where is your screaming old nurse, ruining your mood from morning to night? Why do you see a young woman tenderly adjusting your pillow?
"Good morning. Would you like breakfast?" she murmured, touching your hair, causing the tips of your ears to visibly redden.
“And where...” you began, but she caught your thought, answering before you could finish:
"She quit, now I'm your nurse. My name is Adelia." She pauses, examining you. "Let's go. We need to take our meds and have breakfast." She carefully pulls back your blanket, helping you to get up. Although... you could have done it yourself, but you can't refuse HER help.
